And you still made that statement? I am Chinese, I dislike the film, and felt insulted by the film as some one born in China. I grew up in the States and I agree with its points and think things need to change in the States because I don't see this country heading in the right direction. I find your reaction to the film completely inappropriate and would like an apology.
So, a jubilant and cocky entrepreneur (the recurring, laughing guy with sunglasses in the film) from Wen Zhou, China, makes obnoxious and snide remarks on the Republican leadership in the USA, the people who elected them, corporate America greed, American workers in general, the prevailing obesity problem faced by many Americans, and, last but not least, the unblemishable New York city. Almost every English subtitle has a grammatical blunder or two in it. Nice. The producer must have made Shaq proud. "Ching-chong-yang-wah-ah-soh," anyone? At least the Americans who have watched film with indignation can find solace in the ineptness of the clumsy English spoken, presumably, by the Chinese upstart. The perceived threat from a fast growing China never sits well with the American public, even (or, shall I say especially) with the "liberals" -- like the film producer himself -- some of who are more xenophobic and racist than their conservative counterparts. To wit, the producer is not man enough to play back the direct, unedited narrative from the Wen Zhou guy for us to examine the authenticity of the "translated" subtitles, rather, he resorts to distortion, exaggeration, and smart-ass scare mongering tactics. Alas, the Chinese are always a fair game, aren't they? Two thumbs down.
This film served it's purpose: Increasing the anti-Chinese sentiment among red blooded Americans. Just look at the first reaction by suckerboy....ooops...I mean bigtexxx and it becomes all too obvious. And liberals are by far the worst race baiters I have ever encountered. At least with conservatives like bigtexxx, they'll tell you they don't like you straight to your face instead of hiding their prejudices like liberals- who are snakes of the worst kind.
Oh I'm so, so sorry, wizkid. I would like to extend my sincere apologies to you. Hopefully you can find it within your kind heart to accept my humble request for your forgiveness.* *today is opposite day! heeeeehehehehehehehahahahoohooohooohooohooofart
See, it's this type of the disrespect for other people's culture that are gonna drive U.S. further away from other countries in Europe and Asia and paint us as uncompromising cowboys. Pride is the worst sin, god will judge you.
Disrespect for people's culture? LOL I guess you didn't see the video? God will judge me? Are you God? You seemed to have already judged me!
I did, it made fun of the Chinese while pointing out problems facing current state of America. Then you proceed to make fun of the Chinese. Then think you've done nothing wrong and continue to throw out insults.
The more I reflect on this film, the more I think it's likely the Chinese will come closer to the Jews in 1930s' Germany, who were the most convenient scapegoats the Germans could target at whenever things didn't go their way. We know the Germans were very united. Right now the Americans are just too busy with the Arabs.
