Wow nobody is getting in next year.Who's Mike Morgan ? The only guy for sure is Rickey, hes an easy first ballot. Maybe Edgar but I think thats it.
That was my point. Henderson is the only really deserving HOFer. Maybe now Goose and others who have deserved it for sometime will make it.
He was a below average, but reliable starter that bounced around the league. I remember him doing pretty well against the Astros when he was with the Cubs. Think a poor(er) man's Jim Deshaies, but he pitched for 22 seasons (some of those out of the pen).
Goose Gossage should get in next year and hopefully Jim Rice. As for 2009, only Rickey Henderson looks to be a given to get in.
No, he's still playing for the Surfdogs, but unless he gets a contract with an MLB team (major or minor league), he'll be eligible then.
