My name is the name I've decided to give to all those people who would never criticize Dubya no matter what, just like "Lewinsky" is the name you've decided to give to all of those who you claim have supported Clinton no matter what. Get it? Probably not.
RM95, I was quick to bash you when you were only countering the "lewinsky" title. I apologize. But on the other side, you have yet said one word of enouragement towards the president. (at least of what I read)
RM95, I'll dismiss the jab at my intelligence, since you obviously misunderstood me. I'd rather be your friend, than your enemy, so let me end this right now. If you don't think you're a Lewinsky, you shouldn't have replied. It's that simple. Anyway, there are people out there who are simply blind to the representative of their chosen political party. They can simply do not wrong in their eyes. There are a few of those type of people on this BBS. For both sides of the coin. I'm a Bush supporter. However, I do recognize the flaws in his administration. At the same time I recognized the strengths of Clinton's administration. I do not retract my statement about the Lewinskys of the world. As we both know they exist. If you'd like to further discuss this, let's do it calmly, without blinders on. This is a time for us to stand amongst our brothers in peace, not to throw insults.
Space Ghost, I've defended Bush at least once (when he was criticized for going to Louisiana and Nebraska instead of back to D.C.) and I want to say more. I really think he's doing a good job in this. I have some complaints, but nothing as far as policy so far. My complaints are more along the line of his speeches and stuff, but that's not really important right now. I've just felt the need to defend Gore/Clinton, etc. because I think they've been unfairly criticized about past things when they have absolutely nothing to do with this. coma, Agreed. I just got pissed because I think your "Lewinskys" were created by Republicans and other right wingers who didn't feel that Clinton could do no right. There were quite a few things that I didn't agree with Clinton on, but I felt the need to defend him for that very reason.
RM95 -- I would never heap the blame for this on any one other than the jackasses who crashed these planes into civilians...but...I don't think Clinton/Gore helped by stripping apart the CIA over the last 8 years. They're not alone, in that, no doubt. Many Republicans in Congress followed right along...but nevertheless...I'm not certain that history will be all that kind to those who strip down the intelligence agencies that were being used as a means of defense against such attacks. Just a thought. Aren't you the fellow Dave Matthews fan on this site??? Been listening to "This is the Last Stop" recently!!??? Wouldn't you love to send a copy of that to Osama Bin Laden right about now??
MadMax, I'm not even talking about that kind of criticism...I think that's valid. I'm talking about stuff along the lines of what coma posted in this thread. Funny you should mention that, I was talking to my girlfriend about that very thing yesterday.
