Kobe is not a jump shooter...Tmac is!! Kobe take over game by driving to the hoop and draw fouls in order to get FREE POINTS and keep his team close and win it!!

You mean please don't put Kobe and Jordan in the same sentence again.

Both Kobe and T-Mac are great players, I just think T-Mac's not as mentally tough but he's definetly injured right now. You guys act like the guy has sucked all season long, dude did start off scoring 30+ points like it was nothing during the hot start and 2 40+ games while the Rox started out great. You don't just start sucking for no reason. Yeah I am sure he could play harder but I really believe the dude is playing hurt.

The other thing is that Kobe gets fouls called for defenders literally breathing on him, but when T-Mac does take it to the whole and gets hammered the refs eat the whistle. The NBA really is ridiculous with their officiating, it has to be the worse officiated professional sports league in the WORLD!

no one wants their best offensive weapon to not score in the final 6 minutes.....no one............you put the pressure on the defense by taking it to another level...you get in attack mode, not a let me just pass the ball around mode................I don't care how hot yao was that quarter the primary reason we brought tmac here was for occassions like the one in game 7.....to be the closer..................

the fact that he plays with passion, heart, determination, and is better defensively and offensively makes me think that he is "much" better....and I don't think tmac is a top 10 player...I'd take Kobe, Wade,Bron, Duncan, KG,Nash,Howard,Amare,Paul,Melo,Boozer, and maybe even a couple of others over him.......

kobe does benefit from the refs, but tmac rarely takes it in aggressively....he usually shys away from contact..............I think this part of the reason he doesn't get as many calls.

Kobe is the name of the steak, LA fans don't complain about wanting a steak eater.

Thank goodness for the ignore function. No more reading posts that look like........................this............................ahjilafhsd.............lasjdf;lahj

The conversation/discussion is getting off subject at times.

Title: Guys, you get pissed off that Tmac is a jumpshooter yet youi want Kobe

Statistical proof shows that they are both jumpshooters, with the difference being neglible. If you want to argue other points, make it elsewhere.

............................................we want kobe because he's a better player.........period............tmac is a bad jump shooter and pusses out down the stretch.....that's why people prefer kobe over t-soft.

And you can counterargue that McGrady keeps losing someone close to him. I mean this can go back and forth...it's still off the subject of what the thread is supposed to be about.

the idea behind the thread is really pointless...like I stated people want kobe here, because of his will to win, his clutch ability, leadership, toughness, and overall better skill than tmac....not just the fact that he and tmac both take jumpshots......

^^^I was.....I got out though, because I lost all faith in tmac and didn't even want to root for a soft quitter...and because of school....I'm at that point where I'm really trying to focus on my future....

The big difference is that t-mac takes bunch of stupid jumper at clutch, but kobe does attack the basket at the end of the game, with a heart.

I guess an observation to be made is if the comparision of Kobe vs. Tmac occurs a lot, they must be comparable. And it must not be totally off as the discussion still lasts.

Not like Rafer vs. Kidd discussions last long.

    Just an observation.

I dunno, but what are the excuses for Kobe's other years? I was unaware feelings for loved ones expire at 1 year.

So you became a QUITTER yourself ;)

T-mac's obviously injured...the dude has been great since being acquired from Orl (except 05-06 when he and Yao both missed chunks of the season) and started off great this year. I'll give him th benefit of the doubt.

I can't wait til we're out of this funk and all you people jump back on the bandwagon and love T-Mac again.

This is the problem with our society, everyone has "present memories." When someone is hot and on top of the world everyone loves him but as soon as one little thing goes wrong, and that person slips a little (for various reasons), everyone immediately forgets all the good/great things they did and are blinded by what they've done consistently. I know T-Mac has never been out of the 1st round and can't make excuses for that (even though they played 2 v 5 in the playoffs), but he's brought me excitement and hope for a championship which we haven't had since Dream.

Go Rockets, Go T-Mac, Go Yao, let's get this thing back on track!!!!!
