Guys, you get pissed off that Tmac is a jumpshooter yet youi want Kobe

im a huge tmac fun, but the fact is, is that kobe just makes more of those same jumpers, and just takes over at the end of the game, and kobes defense is pretty dam good, did u see wat he did to iverson

 

Kobe takes it to the basket, is clutch, has heart, and is a better jumpshooter than Tracy, and I'm not saying I would want Kobe over Tracy.

Sorry but kobe is just in a different league than tmac...and plays with soo much more atheltism...he still looks young even though is really older than tmac

I agree completely, T and Kobes are of the same mind.

However, I wouldn't have bloated GARM with a new thread about this.

 

it's not productive if he jus t take jump shot and in fact his jump shot is not better than others, so if he only keep do that he looks like a nomal player who just takes more shots a game than others.

 

I watch lakers too. Kobe takes ill-advise jumpers too, no question. He is stronger than Tmac around the rim. Tmac in the lane, avoiding contact, Kobe looks for contact.

 

kobe's jumpshots mattered when tmac's flat out doesn't. And in crunch times to even bring tmac to the level of kobe is an insult

 

TBut Kobe takes it to the hoop more often, draws fouls more often and MAKES those FTs more often. He's also a much better on the ball defender than TMac and has way more energy than TMac. Against the Rockets, he has taken the team on his shoulders in the 4th and won 1 game in OT, lost one game in OT and almost won one earlier this year when the Lakers were trailing big time in the 4th. He did that by making shots, driving and living on the FT line. If it weren't for a couple of shots made by the Rockets (Battier's three, for example), Kobe would have willed the Lakers into 3 wins against the Rockets when down by double digits late in the fourth. TMac simply can't or doesn't do that.

Kobe has a more aggressive streak and is more inventive with shots, and basically knows its a given he'll get his free throw chances WHEN he drives

McGrady its IF he drives, or he'll settle into a role as "facilitator"...which is good really

But that doesn't mean he picks up his defense, goes after loose balls and does other things to compensate. Nor does it mean cuz he's facilitating that he's actually "leading".

Both have questions about their character, and Kobe's a supreme a-holio, but Kobe demands excellence at all times whether he's helping you get there or not.

Now lets get back to the team's problems cuz we've been over this for years now, nothing's changed here.

 

Tracy is a girl's name,Houston needs a man.

 

Kobe knows how to win.

Tmac knows how to make his stats look good regardless of the output of the game itself.

 

He's also much more efficient, because he shoots a higher percentage, he draws more fouls, and he's a dead eye free throw shooter.

 

Kobe is a basketball god, but his ego almost makes him more trouble than he is worth.
