once a day in the morning. By nighttime I like the look of the shadow. By the next morning it's too long.
Although I "need" to shave everyday, I only shave when I have a meeting. So I only shave three to four times a week. That said, I've had this kind of thread beforehand. I can tell you this, I have used a Mach 3 razor for well over five years. I shave after I shower. Regardless of how thick my beard is, I always go against the grain (ie. upwards) without any shaving foam. And that doggone blade tends to last 6 months at a time. Just saying, I think the shaving cream remnants erode the blade. Try it my way. It may feel a hair less comfortable, at first, but I get a razor cut once every 6 months, which is when I know it is time to change the blade. Now if you shave prior to a shower? Use the shaving cream. Otherwise, it isn't necessary. Shaving cream was developed for people using straight razors. I can google it, if need be, but foam is no longer anything but a soother, and a relatively expensive one, considering the price of the cream combined with the corrosion of the razor. Try it my way once. Steam your face with hot water, keep running the blade under hot water after every good stroke or two, and tell me how long that thing lasts.
I'm Asian so needless to say I shave about 2-3 times a week. Usually 2. 3 on a rare blue moon because the gf loves the smell of the cream on my skin afterwards. But I also dedicate about twice a month to shave/trim other sexy parts. [/too much info]
As horrific as this sounds, I'd like a thread about this. I'd personally like some advice. As much as I try to trim, I'd like something more permanent, and I'm not a fan of waxing.
I'm asian.. And I shave more than twice.. Usually every other day so that makes it 3~4 actually. Your other parts on the other hand.. you must have a growing problem if you twim twice a month.
Does anyone here use an electric razor, and like it? I've been in the manual razor camp forever.. but two things have made me wonder. Water-Proof electric razors.. do they work well? Seems like shaving with them in the shower would 1) be very convenient and 2) get you a closer shave than normal. but then I saw this bad boy... It's not a wet/dry shaver.. but it uses the same micro-pulsation concept that works with those new manual razors.. anybody try this thing, thoughts, comments?
I just got one of these not too long ago and while it takes more effort to shave since you can't just throw the razor all over your face, it gives an EXCELLENT shave. I used to get the bumps and razor burn all over my neck but I don't with this. On top of that, the blades last at least a week and I bought 30 of them for about $10.
Every other day. There's not enough shaving cream/gel in the world to keep me from feeling like I'm peeling my face off if I shave the next day when the hairs are really short. In college, I would not care and just let my beard grow in. I get good coverage all over my face, but it's not super thick or course. Actually, quite a few girls would tell me my beard was soft.
Tuesdays (to last the rest of the week) and Saturdays (before gigs). I constantly have stubble. I just refuse to shave every day. My job isn't important enough to me to go through the trouble. I use this stuff:
