I live in Houston now but I'm from Dallas. I've liked the Rockets since the Tmac Era. The Rockets are the only Houston team I support.
Do I want him suspended? Of course not! He's playing great baseball right now. But knowing the sport gods and the city of Houston, chances are he's going to be suspended.

As an Astros fan, I do not want Gurriel to be suspended. As a human being, I am not okay with Gurriel ridiculing another race/ethnicity.
Well apparently not because “supposedly” Darvish told Japanese reporters (in Japanese) that he should be suspended.
Casual racism exists in part because society assumes its okay to be racist to your own. It was okay for Q to make the asian gesture about Bruce Chen since they were teammates...its okay for black people to say ni**as since they are black, etc.
The amount of hypocrisy and faux outrage with this whole situation is unacceptable to me, and that is what I am reacting to. I don't condone racism. And no, I don't think anyone should make the "slanted eyes" gesture in question. I think public figures should be allowed to plead their case just like an average person would (although maybe not even average people can anymore).
Yeah I think Gurriel should apologize and the other guy should forgive him. Like grown adult men they should shake hands and best of luck to each. But you know what does upset me, that this damn series might not be about our team anymore. It’s going to be about “what’s right”. It’s going to be about race. This will make all the headlines.
