    I'll be the bigger man and step away from this immature response from you - you've clearly become unhinged and flustered. Gather yourself, kid.

    Good that there isn't a WS suspension.

    Mad Dog Russo keeps saying what Yuli said should get him suspension but he didn't say anything wrong. It was the slant eye thing that was a bad look. If he just said "el chinito" and Fox caught that part and he didn't do the squint eyes then we wouldn't have this thread.

    5 games is absolutely ridiculous. Whatever, at least it’s not now.

    lol i don't venture into the D&D at all but the responses in this thread do seem indicative of who would be posting what in there, and that's sad.

    5 games seems a bit excessive, pillar and joyce got 2... but at least it's for the regular season.

    5 games is excessive.

    But I’d rather they be more severe than less severe with these sort of things so that everyone, especially the kids watching at home, knows it is not accepted in our society to act that way. Of course, if those kids have parents like a lot of the guys in this thread, then whatever message mlb sends is irrlevant anyway.

    In the grand scheme of things it’s still fair because he won’t miss a World Series game and 5 games is nothing in a regular season.

    I hope he is remorseful again before the game and we can move on from this and focus on baseball.

    5 does seem excessive considering Pillar and Joyce...maybe its the new standard

    Yuli should thank the MLB players' Union. They would have appealed a suspension and there probably wouldn't been time to go thru the appeals' process. They said Yuli would take a longer than normal suspension next season.

    The Union said a 1 game suspension now is like a 50 game suspension during the regular season (only 4 games left).

    I think that the suspension will be reduced if Yuli re-issues a better apology...

    agreed. im guessing they're using him as a scapegoat since it was on the national stage. i just feel you have to set a precedent before, but i guess going forward, 5 games may be the minimum. its funny, players get into fights and they can get suspended from 5-8 games (forgot how many Bryce got suspended for this year). i'm not sure where the equality of suspension is determined.

    Kevin Pillar/Matt Joyce 2 games, Yunel Escobar 3 games, let the Red Sox cheat off of Apple because "it just happens in baseball" & "everyone does it"...

    :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

    I don't think he should have been suspended, but glad he won't miss WS games. Man did a stupid thing but it wasn't taunting on the field, it was in the dugout where he thought he was alone. Having ignorant views doesn't make you a bad person. He apologized.
