So because he has japanese in him, it makes him have some greater truth? I dont respect somebody who based his entire opinion on his ethnic makeup, rather than the quailty of his argument and the evidence he used to inform it. I dont care what your ethnicity is as long as you have facts to back up your opinion.
These are universal human problems. Saying the USA deals with them to the same extent as "Third World countries" is pure SJW emotional appeal.
That was actually a really solid article, and when I saw the tweet was by LDJA12, I didn't think there was any chance of the article being good. I think the article shows why this will blow over and probably fairly quickly.
USA and it's PC Zombie whiny b**** culture could learn a lot from other countries where no one is so damn up tight about race and culture. Other countries have a more relaxed, playful, attitude towards race, culture, gender, etc... and folks get along way better because of it. But here, are so uptight because they literally walk with a pitchfork up their ass and as uptight as we are we're as divided as ever. I would ask those folks to lighten up but they can't and when I do they'll get all triggered proving my point.
This is one of those "lost in translation" incidents. The difference between what he meant and intended versus how people take it...is the cultural gap imo. Now, if Yuli were a white American doing this, then it would be much more obvious. It's unfortunate that he didn't have the foresight to not do something like this because of how it could be interpreted. But, he just didn't really get it. He meant something else than what people are going to take it as apparently. I don't really get it but it is what it is.
If only there weren't millions of people watching that have their own opinions then you might be right.
btw..., OP should be banned from creating threads because his thread titles are ****. He flat out called Yuli a racist! Maybe @TheRealist137 is the racist one towards Latinos or Cubans? I mean I have to wonder why so quick to create this thread and why use that title? I think you're racist toward Latinos and their culture bro. We can't have racism on cf.net so you should leave after you apologize.
There is plenty of actual racism towards all kinds of people. I don't condone it. My question is why do people think that spending so much time being angry and accusatory about the actions of one person on the internet is productive? What will it accomplish? May I suggest that Twitter emotionalism just breeds more negativity. The best remedy is for us to get active in the real world where people of other races can actually see our kindness and not just our vindictiveness. Stupid Twitter.
Also, given the history of how America treated the Japanese in film, in the war, and in general over the years, it's a bit hypocritical for white America to fixate on this...especially given the history of racism in this country against pretty much all races.
