It pisses me off how we've gone from a feel good story that everyone could pull for, to now being hated because of this dumbass move by Yuli, which you know will be absolutely beaten to death for the rest of the series. We can't even enjoy winning without some stupid **** like this tainting it.
A friend told me he was recently written up for telling a coworker "you're showing your true colors " because of some dishonesty on coworker's part. That coworker happened to be black and complained it was racist and he is not racist at all. Friend is a minority as well.
Crap he is gonna be suspended for one game guys. Way too much momentum towards it. Yahoo, the ringer, and countless others say it needs to happen. Wow. I sure picked a hell of a time to buy a nice yuli gurriel WS jersey last week.
Doubt MLB does it. Too controversial especially in the World Series. It's up to the team and imo they're not gonna suspend him. Probably just fine him and move on. Although what could happen is a wink wink suspension from the MLB where Gurriel protests the suspension and it gets conveniently pushed to the start of next season.
Gotta do something publicly if your mlb. They dont even have a choice anymore. Itd be more controversial not to suspend him it seems. Google yuli gurriel and you see fox news, yahoo, the ringer, and other big media outlets calling for a suspension lmao. Wow.
people nitpicking his word choice in the apology need to remember he is speaking through a translator.
Oh man.... all the non Houston radio stations talking about the game is all about Gurriel instead of the Astros win. Hope this doesn't bring the team morale down.
STOP! Stop with everyone being so damn sensitive. who gives a ****? Seriously. Do you think Yu was actually even seeing that??? It was in the dugout and it was such a minor thing that only camera replays would ever show. Stop playing into this p***y tactic. Men aren't p*****s.
a fine and the dodgers get to bean yuli on the arm or back. call it even. also yuli has to spend 2 months in Japan from Dec- feb promoting baseball.
Let’s move on for a few days please. This is ruining the mode. Gurriel gets fined. Farid Darvishsefat can dress up as Scarface for Halloween. (Calling Yu by his real name from now on. His Persian name)
Did he know what he was doing was considered offensive? He just moved to America from Cuba a little over a year ago. What if you went to, let's say, Algeria, to play professional soccer, never been before in your life. You get upset about a cal and hold your nose to say the call stinks. No one would bat an eye here, but over there maybe that's considered the most offensive thing you can do to someone. Next thing you know you are on TV, people calling you racist, saying you should be kicked off the team. Did you think you did anything wrong? Can we say you should have known better? Not really if you grew up in a different culture where that was simply not the case.
