They certainly weren't deterred by the possibility of dying. So what are the odds that a teacher could have stopped them? I'm thinking pretty miniscule considering the kinds of weapons the boys had. Then consider how few school shootings actually occur, and then weigh that against the danger of accidental deaths (or psycho teachers) if you put guns in every school.
Hey clown, If a teacher wants to carry a gun to school and kill a student, no law is going to stop that psycho teacher. That's what you people refuse to under stand. Laws don't stop bad people from doing bad things. They never have. That's why our prisons are full of folx. Laws keep honest people honest.
But after how many victims? After a 30 minute rampage waiting for police to arrive and THEN form a plan? http://www.smartcarry.com/scinvi.htm
This is what I carry off duty. Clips right into my jeans. Carry it like a pocket knife. And guess what? I carry it into schools. All those unsafe children.
What is that? I carry a Glock 27, but I lock it up in my center of mass safe at work(school). I usually ankle carry when I'm dressed up for work, bit will IWB carry with my ctac slide when I'm casual with shirt untucked. I picked up a Fobus tac light paddle holster for my Glock 22, but I'm going to get rid of it and possible the tac light and stick with the ctac slide or use the M7x...if I can find the damn thing...

I think it's a non-issue if the teacher in question is TRAINED and certified by the state to do it, but I think the level of competency needed goes beyond a private conceal carry permit. My first thought is to complete peace officer training. I also think teachers and faculty who have them should keep them concealed, so as not to advertise the fact. The policy seems like it would be more effective if no one is absolutely sure who has them and who doesn't.
I can already tell you guys that in the upcoming legislative session lobbyists that work for the public education system are going to shove this bill up the administrations as$. No one is going to let teachers carry guns to schools.
on the real though If this passes . . .i wonder how long before some teacher is busted for selling guns in school Rocket River
Liberals ignorance? You think started when gun free zones were put in place? It's been going on since the 70's. There was Littleton school in 1975, and The famous Cleveland school incident in San Diego that inspired the song, I Don't Like Mondays. So before you call others ignorant it would be nice if you had your own facts straight.
Get out of my class by sundown. I am not an advocate of taking away people's guns, but strongly favor strong gun control laws. If my kids were in this school district, I would certainly question their ability and judgment. Falcons Talon, I have always liked your posts and contributions, but the fact that you have confessed to illegally carrying a gun into public schools has shot your credibility in matters of safety/children/education/family to **** (no pun intended). WWR, I don't know what to say, but to echo Lil Pun's insistence that you wash your hands.
