I skimmed through the thread and didn't see this asked... so sorry if it's a duplicate question. Is the Rock Band 2 Drum set compatible with GHWT? This is for the X360. i've seen that it does, but not for the Wii or other consoles. Is that true for the X360? Thanks
How are the quality of the instruments and is the track listing on par or superior with Rock Band 2? I might just buy this because of "Beat It". I love that song.
according to the wiki page for GHWT the instruments are compatible. I dont know if the new guitar though will work for rockband 2. hopefully it does I just bought the guitar bundle at lunch.
RB2 drums work with the game. But since the GH ones have 5 and RB has 4 it just turns off the last color. So you only play with 4. My guitar squeaks now when I strum and like I said, the faceplate is falling off so I would assume they aren't really well made. I have read alot of people having problems with the drums, certain pads not registering or trouble with cymbals. Alot of people are recommending you stick with the RB2 drums if you have them.
not bad so far i dont get yet fully how to use the slide bar on the new guitar but i havent gone through any tutorials yet. thing i dont like is the "hammer notes" are hard to tell since the top part are lit up, wish it was like in rockband where the notes themselves were physically smaller so it was easier to identify
http://www.joystiq.com/Instrument-Compatibility-Matrix/ that chart above should help out a bunch of you
Thanks Dave2k, very helpful! Does anyone know if the PS2 singstar microphone works on the Wii -- or if there are ones that are universal which could be used on both Wii and PS2? I've been trying to look into this for quite some time... Many thanks in advance!!
does the orange cymbal on the world tour kit work as the orange foot pedal in rockband 2 or do you still have to hit the foot pedal on the GH:WT drum set?
bumped an old thread; yes -- BUT, I will repeat the point as I am damn interested. Was checking out the compatibility of playing the microphone from the playstation 2 games (singstar, et. al.) with the Wii system and/or if anyone knows of a generic group (e.g. Logitech) that produces something for both? Thanks
