Well my friend, then all we can hope for is that perhaps someday we'll both be walking down the street wearing our fake toy guitars over our shoulders, and then suddenly have the greatest duel in the history of guitar hero.
I bought it on the wii yesterday for my girlfriend...she's been playing the holy hell out of it. I think they mentioned something about at one point letting people play with each other across platforms...dunno if that's correct or if it works or not. haven't played it online at all yet, though.
ah crap yea I just saw that it wasn't! well I will still hit you up for some good ole fashion battling.
Rock Band is going to be the same way. Supposedly they couldn't fit it on the disk or some BS like that.
Don't really know anything about how this relates to GH3 specifically, but I think a few developers have certainly looked into doing this (and apparently it isn't too difficult). The problem is that is would basically be up to the 3 game companies to allow for this (probably more so Microsoft than Sony/Nintendo though).
well, yeah that's the point of xbox live. it's a closed platform network. which honestly, is why I thought it was odd that it was a possibility in the first place -- however I did hear this mentioned somewhere.
Still working my way through solo career on Hard. I've come to a screeching halt though. I've passed "Knights of Cydonia" and "Striken", but I can't come close to passing "Before I Forget" or "3's and 7's". I'm basically stuck going back and practicing my hammer-ons and pull-offs on the easier songs until I can get good enough at them to pass set 7. Luckily this game is MUCH more forgiving timing wise than 2 was. I hated trying to do HO/POs in that one.
I thought I read somewhere that Neversoft was going to release a patch that allowed online Co-op play. Can't remember where I saw it, though. Oh, and I've only just barely began playing the game on Medium. I had almost beaten GH2 on Expert when this game came out, so Medium is a little below my skill level now, but I wanted to ease into this game. I haven't played but like 3 songs anyway. Plus, I've watched my wife and son play the game and beat it on Easy so far, and Easy on GH3 is MUCH harder than I remember it for GH2, so I imagine Medium, Hard and Expert are as well.
The difficulty is definitely up. "One" and The Slayer song on Hard have some sections that rival the final setlists of GH2 on expert. I thought Cliffs of Dover was easy though
I'd played the game elsewhere, but I finally got it for myself last night. I'm really late to the game.
It's been so hard trying to get this on PS3...A friend finally saw one at a new Walmart in Flower Mound...That'll be one of the kids xmas gifts... Rawk On!!!
