Guitar Great Johnny Winter has Died!

I'm not much for RIP threads usually unless they really hit home ,but I bummed a little when I saw this one, too. rip.

 

RIP Johnny. A Texas great guitar slinger deluxe. I remember when I was maybe 12 yo and my Dad had taken me to a record store so I could buy a Mott the Hoople record (Brain Capers). while we were there, Johnny Winter's 'Still Alive and Well' LP was playing over the stores speakers. My Dad liked it so much he bought it for himself. I later claimed it as my own.

 

Johnny Winter, Charlie Haden, Lorin Maazel. it's been a tough week for music.

 

Sorry to hear this. One of my favorite white blues guitarists. Very white.

I like his brother also.
