I bet his turds are the size of a basketball.

Nonetheless I wonder how many starving asian families this dog could feed.

I think it's novelty and in many cases a sense of feeling more secure. I dated a girl that had a Great Dane and was certain it would protect her from man and beast. Hopefully, she'll never be in a situation where the dog is actually asked to do that or she'll be in trouble.

because her dog was not an idiot? or you don't think a dog won't/cant' do this?

For some it may be a novelty, not unlike some little lap dog, but then again some people just really like the breed for it's characteristics.

My dad and his wife have a schnauzer and it seems like the perfect pet. No shedding, rarely barks, well behaved, and affectionate. The only time I've ever heard it bark was when a stranger came to the door. They aren't too small and they aren't too big, either.

My red nose Pit is not too big. She is a load sometimes to deal with when she gets excited but That's what I like about her. She's too nice

I can wrestle with her and it's fun when I see her power and strength.

She's also a warning not to try to steal my ****.

The dog wasn't capable. Not even close.

I'm all for everyone getting whatever makes them happy I just think you can find those same characteristics in a more manageable, healthier dog.

Your parents is the exception then. Our family has now had two, both were yappers, but were/are r****ded in the head. (our first loved to chase those fire crackers that would zip around. (The current has to bark at everything, loves to surf on the pool floats when we're not looking, starts to shake or hides when sports are on TV). Not sure if yours is a large one as both ours were mini's.

Nice that they do not shed, sucks when you have to clip them yourself. I ALWAYS cut the damn pointy ears.
