Really? I finished it numerous times. In fact, I bet I could pick up the creaky old NES controller and finish it today. And I havent played it in at least 15 years... The ending is beyond lousy...
Not a NES Mario video, but I found this amazing: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/GDhYmpX9DLM&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/GDhYmpX9DLM&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I beat both Super Mario Bros. and SMB2 as a kid... I didn't beat Super Mario World until this year. That was mainly because I didn't actually own any gaming systems as a kid - it was all over at my neighbor's house. And we moved away just after 2. So it wasn't until last year I finally had access to SMW. I've never beaten SMB3 either. How sad is that!
Agreed- that ish was hard, but I was finally able to beat it one time. And thanks for reminding me about the ending- it blew goats.
I've beaten it. When you finish it it shows Mario in a dream sequence. I beat the boss Wart instead of Bowser. Yeah, I think they rushed on this Mario, I think what they did was rip off of a Japan game and replaced the characters with Mario series characters.
Super Mario Brothers in 5 Mintues. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/yDstba8XGJg&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/yDstba8XGJg&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I don't know guys. I remember throwing eggs at that pink w**** for hours and that thing would not go down. Maybe my Mario 2 was defective.
never beat mario 2 it wasnt that it was hard or anything I just didnt like the guy all that much. it didnt have the same appeal to me as the original mario did.
They should make a sequel to The Wizard, starring you. Based on a true story. I think Fred Savage is looking for work.
Mario 2 isn't all that hard, but the second set of desert stages are just brutal. That part always gives me fits. I don't think I'll ever be able to beat Lost Levels.
I beat Mario 2 many, many times. The ending was crappy, but I really liked the ending song, for some reason.
So I want to know if you slogged through all 32 levels or did you warp? The first gets you some bonus prop points. I took a game detour last summer (before my daughter was born and I got to play games) to revisit games of old that I had never defeated. I had a few PS1 games (Tiny Tank, Gex) and an old PC game (The Lost Vikings) that I enjoyed but never completed. Nice to check those off the list.
