Yes sir Might Mouse lives in Pearland...Shaq has a 24 hour Fitness call sHAQ 24 Hour here in Pearland and he also has a house in Sugarland Tx.
Oh, yeah, I forgot about Shaq...but his 24 Hours Fitness is news to me Too bad I live far a way from those cars (I'm a memorabilia/autograph hound, lol)
So what???? Pearland is no where as safe as Sugar Land. Pearland doesn't have mid-to-high level class people living there like Sugar Land. Pearland and Sugar Land are suburbs... not tourist attractions. Sugar Land is the best suburb in Houston.
imo, Katy, Tx can hold it's own in that category as well...I've been there a couple of times and I like what I see...but then again, I'm from Fondren, so anything outside of Fondren will seem nice to me
Obviously I was making an inference to the pro athletes today making Pearland their home, when Sugarland was that place for many years.
They still are... I can guarantee you there are more Houston pro athletes from the Stros', Rockets and Texans living in Sugar Land than there are in Pearland.
Can we try to keep this a remotely Rockets thread instead of a real estate/city thread? Several professional athletes have multiple homes. Shaq has a home in Dallas and at one point I know he had one in Houston. Just because Camby bought a house in Houston doesn't necessarily indicate he's a future Rocket or anything.
Somewhat improbably, the Pearland-Sugarland rivalry appears to be as intense and fierce as the Northern China-Southern China smackdown from a few years back. TWO BURBS ENTER ONE BURB LEAVES
True. True. But...you know...if we do end up playing the Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals....it's kinda convenient that their best defensive presence resides right in our area code...have you seen the movie Celtic Pride *lightning flashes* *Does evil laugh* If you haven't seen the movie, just ignore what I said
I live in Pearland, very close to where this house is being built actually. I had heard it was an NBA player building but nobody knew the name. Lots of athletes there, as everyone has said...Scola, DeMeco Ryans, Chester Pitts, Gary Walker (used to anyway), numerous other Texans. As far as the town in general, the West side near 288 is overdeveloped and traffic heavy. I like it better toward the older, east side of town. Much less congestion.
