Unfortunately, there are no Koreans, Malays, etc...speaking out on this BBS is there? So obviously we're not talking about them at the moment. This discussion isn't about Japanese atrocities - we've already established that in other threads....this is about hypocrisy...

First of all, show respect. You want me to engage in discourse with you - stop the whole "whoring idiot" and "Moronic" b.s. When you're ready to cut that out, I'll respond to you.

And 90% of your post is putting words in my mouth - that's not at all what i'm saying. You're just reacting out of anger and going on the attack without thinking about what i'm saying. When you're ready to calm down, let me know.

When you attack the messenger and not the message, you are trying to fight a different war because you already lost the real one.

So, you turn every China-related thread into your same giberish, start another thread openly invite people to guess on your ethnicity, throwing out unwarranted accusations on people on multiple occasions, yet you find my little speculation about youth experience as an "attack"? You don't know hypocrisy when hypocrisy hit you. Loose up. It means to be a joke, just like whoever said you were kicked out of Chinese buffet. A little gibe, maybe. But attack? FYI, a person who experienced traumatic social experience in childhood does have more tendency to provoke in order to gain acknowledgement or respect.

It's funny and interesting how a piece of supposedly positive news can be spinned into same giberish.

FYI, rewriting history textbooks, while it postentially can, is not the same as rewriting history. Japanese rewrite history by portrait Japan's WW2 agressions as helping other countries. What Chinese did in this story is rewrite history books, ditching socialist ideology in favor of a more western style. You can't confirm anywhere from the story that China is re-writing history.

While there may be some historical events in China's history that need more representation, or less glorification of CCP (ironically the new textbook does just that), and I do agree with many including SM that history should represent in full, your attempt to draw parallel with Japanese textbook and shrine visit is pale at best.

I will say this to the clown: no matter what you want to say, STFU, because whatever you want to criticize others for, you are guilty of the same as well. Wait till you become a perfect saint, keep your mouth shut, hypocrite.

Again, I'm not one to personalize debates...I'm only showing you what you are doing - you should thank me for investing the time to do that. I'm sorry you had tramautic experiences as a child - that's not fair. But I don't think you should use that as an excuse for moving things away from a civil discourse and getting defensive.

Why be such a sore loser? You lost the debate, now give it up and be graceful about it.

There is no question that the Chinese government is hypocritical to downplay Mao's atrocities, and criticize the Japanese for doing the same.

However, everyone has a right to criticize others, just as they have a right to ignore it.

I don't see Iran giving a rats patootie that people think the holocaust cartoons are in poor taste, nor do I see the Danes, or any other western country giving 2 craps for the Mohammed cartoons, it just doesn't matter.

Offense is a personal thing, sometimes people do things on purpose to offend others, this is the case all over the world with numerous governments.

    GW "Bring it on !"

And it is all just a case of the world becoming smaller and all of us becoming part of a global community, we have to learn how to live together, or we will all just kill each other off, and the insects will take over.

Lost debate? Look around, how many people are on your side.

Ultimately, Japanese are losers of this debate. I have no doubt that Japan is lossing influence in Asian AND in US. China is gaining influence everywhere. Japanese visitng war shrine just push that process faster.

Japanese claiming shrine visit is internal affaird is similiar to Bush's claiming war in Iraq is part of war on terror. Look at where Bush is going.

Yeah, it's like people pretty much have grown thicker skin these days. If you get worked up by every slight, you're going to be worked up a lot.

You've lost more then the debate, you're making a fool out of yourself with all the personal attacks.

Anyway, Japan lost nothing - hate to break it to you - but no one really cares about the shrine visit oh....say after a week or so. It won't affect business transactions, it won't affect anything. And the shrine visit is technically an internal affair. It's completely in Japan. It's in their territority.

It's as much as an internal affair as Chinese prisons or Tinnenman square.

LOL. I heard if you get tired and want to get out of a dabate on the internet, the most easy way is to follow these three steps:

    (1) Stop answering the other people's points.
    (2) Claim victory...such as..."I win, you lose!!! Just give it up!!!'
    (3) Call the other people sore losers since you claim you have won already.

It helps if you know how to hypnotize yourself too. Close your eyes, imagine a peaceful scene or simply clear your mind and focus on your breathing, then whisper to yourself 1000 times that 'I won, you lost'.

Hopefully, they will stop coming at you. :)

Yeah I think it's hilarious too. What's more funny is that even though no one else agrees that you won, it's not important. You just need to make yoruself believe that you did. That's why the hypnosis part is so important for you.

It's an effective way to force a tie when you are losing.

Um yeah, all this crap, yeah. Woohoo. Btw, where in the original artical (dispite the obvious anti-China tone) did it state that China is re-writing history?

Clutch should really shut D & D down. Every single post here is either praising someone/something, or criticizing something, or representing some opinion, since no one is a perfect Saint here, nobody should ever open his/her mouth.

?!? Isn't that the point of debate and discussion... You praise and criticize and yes you should have opinions when you debate

Yes too many personal insults in this thread right now but it's a legitimate topic and right now no one else is really complaining. The people involved really should calm down though

I just felt ridiculous that some here instead of debating and discussing, kept telling others have no right to complain/criticise anything, for they are no Saints themselves. Regaring the people involved, I only see some were actually engaging in discussion. some, although a very few 1 or 2, telling every single poster opposing his view have no right to discuss. Someone who attacked people from certain ethnic group as Mafia and hypocrists as a whole, and the whole ethnic group should shut up, yet whinning about personal attacks for someone labelled his posts as "moronic".
