    Dude, if he actually tried to take it to court he'd be laughed out of there, I mean what is he going to claim?

    He has my money I was never refunded through paypal or the CC company.

    I just took the loss and took the RROD XBOX 360 and games to game stop where they gave me a cool 80 dollar store credit.

    This stupid issue was dead to me, this jackass sends me this random money request 6 months later.

    I don't get it. Was the full sale price originally $220 and you paid that?

    What is the money he's asking for now? Was it supposed to be $440 originally and you only paid half up front?

    $220 was the full sale price which I paid back in Aug 09

    So I guess he thought I'd be so terrifed by the notion of small claims court, i'd just send him another 220 for no reason.

    If I'd gotten a refund I would shipped that crap back to him right away.

    This is laughalicious.

    You bought the item and paid full price.
    He received payment.
    The item you purchased turned out to be defective.
    You asked for a refund and were prepared to return the item to him, but then never heard back from him.
    You've received no refund, he hasn't given back the money to paypal or anything, and you haven't sent him the items.

    My superior intellect tells me that the components of a sale have all been completed. He has the money he wanted for the item and you took ownership of the item (though you have since sold it.) Now he either wants the item back or another payment of the original sale price?

    I try to avoid insults, but this young man is an Uber-Douche.

    Small correction, he did get back to me and wanted me to return it and he'd give me the refund once he got it.

    Now considering he'd already knowingly sent me a defective unit, I didn't have a great feeling I'd actually get that refund if I sent it back to him. Leaving me out the money and the stuff which I'd could at least get some sort of store credit for to not make it a total loss.

    Asked him to issue the refund and I'd ship it back to him, I'd paid him in good faith and thought the reverse would apply.

    It didn't and after a few weeks I just moved on and took the loss. Never heard back from dude went through the process trying to get refunds from paypal and my CC to no avail, both said they had no control over the condition of the item.

    GRENDAL, you didn't do anything wrong at all. If you had sent the unit back to him, not only would you probably never have gotten your money back, he would have probably sold it to some other unsuspecting person and ripped them off again.

    Superfluous details. You wanted to reverse the sale and at some point after agreeing to do so, he ceased communication. He sucks at life, you win and I hope he takes you to small claims court so you can enjoy one of what promises to be the funnier moments in your life.

    Thanks man and that's pretty much what I figured as well. Gamestop refurbishes any console they take anyway, hell the stupid thing crapped out twice while they were testing it, they didn't care.

    It would be great if you could so small claims court in front of one those whacky suburban judges who likes to get all dramatic in their courtroom.

    i bought a 360 about a year ago and when i plugged it in had the 3 red rings so i know how u feel i got it fixed and still working to this day
