Guess there's a first time for everything, burned by another BBSer

I got burned by WillG for a non functional xbox live 12 month subcription code. Lost $30 dollars to that b*stard. After 3 emails with no replies.

 

I would never buy a used Xbox 360, just knowing about the RROD would scare me away, thats why I bought a new ps3. Sucks what he did but seriously you had to know that this was a possible outcome of buying a 360. Hope you resolve this. Not cool to play other BBS members.

 

Why don't you just buy a arcade for $199? I think it drops down to $169 sometimes when Dell has their monthly coupons.

 

I thought it strange that in the OP he said it was a month old and then when he responded to you it was 4 months old.

 

man that sucks GRENDAL the one thing I always like about this board is the actual honestly from its members when it comes to transactions and all. I've gotten stuff through this board and its members numerous times without any issues sucks when there are like 1-2 bad apples who use the boards' good rep and tarnish it in this way.

that sucks man. it seems like he couldve gotten more than 200 with 3 games a system that is basically new....or he couldve just walked into gamestop or something and gotten at least 175 if not 200

only thing ive ever bought from here was rockets tickets from dave2000...a few times, actually. always a trustworthy guy. even emailed me/transferred the tickets before i gave him the cash.

it would be cool if we had seller feedback on here similar to ebay.

 

apparently the xbox was purchased a 2 months ago or so...isnt the warranty transferrable if they guy sends his reciept or somethign?

even if he wasnt a bbs'er....being dishonest and screwing people over is just freakin wrong...

If you take the face plate off the 360, you should see a warranty sticker like one of the following:



If it's torn, it's been opened previously.

If it isn't torn, you should check to see if it's under warranty. You could still get a working 360.

crazy that you bring that up, cuz they are talkin about 9/11 on cnn right now and how muhammed atta enrolled in flight school in july 2000, and got his private license in sept. 2000, the commercial and FAA license in december 2000

i dont know if they changed the rules or anything (probably just changed background checks if anything, not age limit)

that being said, he could be a pilot, but it's HIGHLY doubtful he's working for a major airline and flying from houston to london every other day. maybe he's an amateur pilot who does it for fun. either way, he should have time to check emails. i mean i can do it from a press of a button on my phone, and reply with "i'll get back to you ASAP" and hit send less than in 30 seconds?
