My guess is the Clippers on a sign and trade deal for Blake Griffin.

Morey personally thanking Ballmer and the front office in person for giving us CP3. Standup guy he is. Then he'll bring back Blake on the way.

We haven't got a max to offer free agents. We are courting players to take a discount to have a chance to win. With the Warriors out there such a pitch may remain hollow I'm afraid.

last year he was 19-4-8 with 1.5 steals per 36; he was a 19/10 guy the year before. He plays elite defense. He's a good mid-range shooter. Crazy heart and attitude ..think Bev, Lowry, Chuck Hayes ...punch you in your mouth type player.

I didn't watch him much last year, so i'm sure someone could better speak to if he's on the decline. But i think Paul Milsap would be an amazing get for this team. He's not gonna shoot as high of a percentage from 3 as Ryan Anderson (he's not a stretch 4), but he's extremely strong in almost every other facet of the game, and can match up great with the Greens and Lamarcus' of the world.

Hindsight is 20/20, but if we had gone after Milsap instead of Dwight Howard, i wonder how that would have worked out.

I think he played great. He's a poor man's Lebron - not saying he's in that stratosphere at all, but that he does a little bit of everything well. That said, Markieff Morris outplayed him a couple of times in the playoffs and that was disconcerting. I mean, it's such a guard important league that it really didn't matter what happened in that matchup, so that's disconcerting too, lol.

That is definitely disconcerting on many levels. He does strike me as the kind of guy who as he ages/slows down, could become quickly limited. He doesn't have the length. But sounds like he's not there yet?

Never doubt Morey, if he wants max cap space he will have max cap space. He could meeting with anyone tonight and in the coming days.

To me it's all about role... Milsap as your best player? Ehhhhh. Milsap as your third option? DRASTICALLY DIFFERENT.

I am not saying he's draymond AT ALL, but dray as your go to guy would land you in the lottery. In his role though? Ridiculous

Maybe? The thing is, he can still put up monster stat games on the regular including highlight plays. But the Hawks have sucked more and more the last 3 years. So it's just weird. Is it the Boogie Cousins effect? Is it the Jason Terry effect? Paul Millsap is a legit star. He will make highlight blocks and steals, knock down jumpers, drive to the hoop....I think he still has it. I don't know how quick his regression will happen because this guy truly is athletic on defense and uses quickness and pump fakes on offense...so it will effect his defense first.

What bothered me the most is that watching every Wizards-Hawks game, Millsap outplayed Morris 4 games to 2, but lost 2 games to 4. That series was all about the backcourts imo. I don't want to say Millsap is empty stats, because that's discounting his value and giving an easy way out explanation. But damn, this is just such a guard league now. He can hit the 3 in the corner and has a good elbow jumper.

I think my biggest concern about Paul Millsap is that as good as he is, how much more of an impact will he be than another younger defensive stud like James Johnson? Melo is not nearly as good defensively, but such a better shooter that I dare to say that Melo can make more of an impact. Hell, maybe the Rockets get both and Millsap is our new center.

i'd rather have milsap over gallinari. gallo is too injury prone. i am hoping for hayward though. i do get a feeling that the spurs might be able to pull it off and get hayward.

Check the Mike and Mike thread. Morey said LA is the epicenter of FA on the first night since it's only 9pm there. He said we'll meet with a couple players tonight and hopefully a handful tomorrow. Said agents and players all flock to LA on this day.

Could be our more experienced Draymond.
