Jones is no Maxwell. He's a 2nd year player who can't defend my grandma

LA is destroying every player thrown at him. It may be a good idea to start Asik to gaurd him from the get go, don't LA get into a groove. Jones is too small and ineffective against LA, gotta try Asik and DMO to disturb him with length.

Letting LMA drop 90 points in two games on you is inexcusable. He's good but not great. We make him look like Jordan. What's the adjustment? Mchale is clearly over his head.

I am afraid this is it for us. We are getting swept. 0-4.
Has any team lost 0-2 in their on turf? Guess very few.

We have to stop pretending hca automatically makes you the team to best in the first round when it is the 4-5 match in the west. We are talking about the west here. These are two teams that finished with the same record so the better team will win regardless of home court advantage.

the problem with Jones is that he's much shorter than LA.

    It's not like he's a bad defender.

You put a small forward on Olajuwon, he would drop 50 on him.

As Charles Barkley said "Rockets putting jones on LA is like LA shooting over a chair"

    Put Dwight on LA

Hakeem had to guard Shaq, Ewing, and Robinson

Your best defensive player is your best defensive player

in the case of Dream, he was the best offensive player too

D12 will end up riding the pine with early foul trouble. DMO might be our only and last desperate option at this point.

he's won defensive player of the year before.

that's his strength. if you don't use your strength, then you are a bad coach.

Luis Scola did a great job of guarding LMA 5 yrs ago. But he had help wing defenders that roughed up Aldridge on switches from the likes of Shane Battier and Ron Artest. Don't forget the 7'6 Great Wall deterred LMA at the rim point blank on many occasions.

Yeah aldridge struggles against players with scola's build. David west, chuck hayes, elton brand, carolos boozer, etc.

Aldridge knows he can get dwight in foul trouble and out of the game by bumping into him every time he goes up. That takes our best player off the floor and he will be all over that.

LMA is better than the LMA from 5 years ago and on top of that there's no defensive beast wings to help out. We sure miss Shane Battier and Metta World Peace. Dangit..

That was 20 years ago. Not one person from the coaching staff to the players is still part of the team. Dream cant shake anyone on the sideline. Sorry tinman, it is time to let go of clutch city and admit we have done nothing but choke since dream won his second championship in houston.

His 6 fouls would have helped but remember After the 2010 season dude had 1 of his meniscuses entirely removed so he was never able to regain his Lebron JR form again after that. Why not put the beast from the Lakers championship teams by the name of Josh Powell in there? Powell has leverage girth that would bother Aldridge out there.. It's that damn McFail that's the issue here.

It looked like the Rockets were content with pushing LMA out of the paint and lived with the result. You can't do too much to defend a fadeaway jumper that far out but you can definitely double team that player and force him out of that spot. LMA won't stay hot forever and hopefully Harden/Parsons won't stay cold either.
