At EBGAMES turn in your old working playstation, and get 100.00 store credit. This runs until Oct 30. Im doing this tomorrow.
Probably the PS2. I wonder if having a modchip in mine would disqualify my ps2. Oh yeah, where the hell is the etti's (sp?) the gun dealer guy? I know where it is on the map etc. But I can't find the door to get in.
I think I only went there like once, but I think there really isn't door. I was at the spot on the map and also didn't find a door or anything, but I think I did find a gun there. I'm guessing that maybe that is how you would get guns, at least during some parts of the game. I'm not for sure on that though. I haven't been able to play as much of the game as I would like to due to government/English papers, basketball practice, and me trying to find out how the Rockets are doing. It is kind of strange how many people got this game. I'm at school and it seems like most of my friends got it. We are all asking each other what we did while we played and telling stories. It is kind of strange since we usually have slightly different tastes in games, but we all got this game. I'm sure Rockstar is glad to hear that. BTW, this is kind of offtopic, but did you guys know that Bungie and Rockstar both worked on the game Oni a while back. (I think Bungie developed it and Rockstar published it.) I came across the game profile today on IGN. I just found that kind of ironic how the companies making the 2 biggest console games this year actually worked together on a game not that long ago. IIRC, that game didn't really get good scores either. I think IGN gave it like a 7-something.
Anyone else having a problem with the garage doors? It won't always open for me. Kind of sucks, when I want to store one of my modified vehicles in it.
there is no door. you have to go behind the building to get the gun. it's a weak weapon. you can probably get an upgrade pretty easily by killing a rival gang member. they always open, although alot of times you just have take a few steps back from the door. also, i think yu can only store 2 vehicles in there.
yeah, I now know of the one gun behind the buidling now, but it doesn't matter since I can go to the ammunition stores. I tried to take the motor boat to the other cities while the bridges were still closed. I made it but as soon as you pass the border you get 4 stars. I used a cheat to see if I could get rid of them but they kept coming back . Guess I should stay in the first city. The thing about the garages kind of sucks. I run around the door waiting for it to open. I run back down the street then back to the door and nothing. Then right when I am about to give up it sometimes opens. It opens most of the time, but when it doesn't it is annoying. damn i love this game. On a side note,I just put on my holloween costume to try it out before i head to a party tonight and it turns out it is like 2 inches to short!
Just picked it up. I'm having a blast riding the BMX around town and doing tricks. I've gotten to be pretty decent jumping off the overpass onto the freeway
F'n hookers have gats?! I keep gettin capped while runnin around taggin East Los Santos. 100 tags is a bit much.
I picked this up tonight. Too bad I won't be able to play much this week even though it is already sucking me in. I only played for a bit, I just finished the mission where you beat up the crack dealers accross the tracks.
I also picked this up today and have semi-enjoyed it so far. I'm still in all these dinky missions at the beginning with my "homies", so there is really nothing exciting going on. That is the only gripe so far. Well, not really a gripe since I know it will get better, but it's like "Come on, let's get going with something other than driving these guys around taking them out for drive-thru chicken!" I've never been a fan of GTA, but this game sounded great every where I have read. Even the guy at EB Games said it was the highest ranked game ever on the PS2. So, I'm giving it a try thanks to $50 game credit there which allowed me to go ahead and take a chance on it. Question though.. is it wrong that I obey the traffic laws in this game? lol!
mogrod, it does get way better. just wait till you get to the "just business" mission. it's alot of fun.
Here I am stuck at work and can't wait to get home to play this game some more. I'm tired of looking for gang tags to cover with tags from The Grove.
Cool, I'll look forward to it. I know alot of these missions at the beginning are there as training sessions and so you can settle in to the whole story and mood of the game but, I have heard so much great stuff so far, I just wish I could just get on with it. I was able to start working out and buying clothes, so that was cool. I guess I picked a bad wardrobe to buy as my sex appeal and respect are 0. I have green on, but I look more like Shaft than Dr. Dre.
