Dayum! ....WOW! that's all I can really say after watching some videos of this game and looking at all the new pics on IGN.com Just amazing. The trailer #3 is sweet.
So... The level of player customization is interesting, and so far well done. You can get a haircut, a tattoo, new clothes (shirt, pants, jewelry, hats, shoes, etc.), work out and get buff, eat a lot and get fat, and so on. And all of this isn't really overbearing, like you are dealing with little tasks to handle it. Most of the stuff is just 'on the way' (a fast food restaurant here and there) that you can stop at. And though they don't take over the game, they are well detailed. In the gym, you can pick how much weight you are pushing, and then alternate buttons to do reps. Unique, and gives you the feel that you're contributing to your character. Graphics are an improvement; better textures and lighting, best seen as the sun is setting or in the look of grassy lots and shiny floors in restaurants. I'm still pretty early in; but so far the game feels really vast. I'm just in Los Santos, but knowing there are another two cities out there and plenty of space between seems rather remarkable. So far, definitely fun if you're a fan of the GTA series. Lots of improvements and added touches to increase the already impressive 'open ended' feel of the game. Yeah...I just got done playing for a couple hours.
Wow, I feel pretty lucky. I was going to wait and probably play this game at a friend's house, but this weekend, I decided that I probably should try to get this game. I didn't have great hopes since I feared that every store near me had no copies to sell due to preorders, but my mom was able to get a copy of it this morning. In fact, I think only like 10 or so copies out of 80 at that store were actually preorders. I don't know if I'm lucky that the people around town don't preorder games or if maybe it is like this everywhere. Either way, I'm pretty happy to have the game right now. As soon as I'm done posting, I'll start checking it out. BTW, hopefully my friend (Redshadow if any "know/remember" him) does end up getting this game today. Unlike me, he actually preordered the game a while back but his alternator in his car recently broke. I think his parents still said he could still get the game, but he deserves the game with all "research" he's put into the game, especially since his birthday is this week. Let's just say it ticked him off a bit when a few others had gotten the game last night. If he doesn't get it today, he'll just be giving us all more wrath. Time to play...
Geez.....it seems that stores won't have it here until tomorow. (CS, Tx) Going to try Walmart tonight, although I was planning on using my BB gift card on this. Maybe i can wait till tomorow.....
can you remove your tattoos or do you have to deal with em your whole gta-life? i know this questions sounds stupid, but afaik you can get other tattoos in las ventura, then you get in los santos....
FYI...anyone who is looking for this and can't find it...Wal-Mart in Clear Lake Shores had about 10 left as of 7:00 PM. The guy at the counter said he had them for only 90 minutes and that they had been flying out the door. Got my copy. Will probably be up late tonight.

Nerdy white boys at Rockstar Games are currently screaming "I'm rich, beyotch!" back and forth at each other across the office.
Nope that would be the bigwigs at Take Two publishing, developers get to work the long hours and have no life...... Rarely do they get a DECENT share of the spoils. DD
The game is bad ass! I picked up a copy of it at Walmart. Get this, Best Buy and target etc. said they won't have the game till tomorow. And yet I went over to Walmart to see if they had it....and whatya know ....they have it. $47.50 at walmart.
I didn't have a chance to play too long last night...so here's my take so far... - radio stations are great. I really dig the KJAH vibe. - best line I've heard from someone on the street... "You spent your clothes money on crack?" - the cars suck...so far...it took me forever to figure out you could ride fast on the bike. those punks in the car kept running me over and I never could finish the first task. I never read the help stuff in the corner. - I thought the South Park movie was vulgur. DO NOT LET KIDS PLAY THIS GAME! - great game...I haven't been able to tour too much. What is that camera for in the Johnson House?
I kept getting run over on the bike in the beginning too. KJAH is great, and Axl Rose is very laid back on the rock station. The camera is one of the mini games. there are 50 "pictures" you have to take to complete it. The hookers carry weapons now too.
This game totally owns. Ok, when i heard "sh*t" and "motherfker" 20 times during the first 10 min of the game, i was like sweet, they didn't hold anything back. then, *SPOILER ALERT* when i was doing the tagging mission and heard, "Grove street motherfkers, suck my d*ck!" i was like holy . man, this game is gonna get so much flak. ROCKSTAR RULES!!!!
