Sony has a 6 month exclusive deal with Take Two for the GTA titles, but Take two owns all the rights. It will be out on PC around May I believe, and probably on X-box 1 or 2 soon after that. DD
Spent the night at my brother's and he has this game...This game rocks...I loved it...Having to work out, park with the ladies...awesome...
The gambling place is in Downtown Los Santos... in the streets under all the freeway overpasses. I've left the little red marker there so I can go back anytime... Go there with at least 5k, keep betting about 500 on the 11/1 or 12/1 horse... before you run out of money, you'll win at least one big payoff. I'm up to over 1.5 million without cheating... just keep betting conservatively on the 11/1 or 12/1 odds.
Dangit, I started playing again today and did a couple of missions and the end of one of the levels an ambulance ran over the person I was to make sure didn't die. Man that pissed me off. And to make things even worse the ambulance was there to revive the guys I had to kill. Man. I should have completed that level, that's not fair.
About as much fun as having a plane crash on top of me at the end of "Reuniting the Families" right before I finished the mission... Some of the random features are a bit over to top in this game...
HAHAHA! no s***! That happened to me once too! It wasn't during a mission but was right after when I was trying to go back and save. I got in my car with the freak gf and all of a sudden the car infront of me exploded...and then there wer so many explosions. I jumped out and ran. But she blew up in my car. I went to see what had happened....and a cesna had crashed into a casino and landed on like 10 cars.
For anyone who wants this game but doesn't have a PS2, Rockstar just announced that the PC/Xbox versions of the game will be released on June 7th next year. So..um...yeah, I was wrong about the PS2 total exclusivity thing, although I was already seriously doubting that around the time GTA came out. Link I had originally thought that Sony was able do that, or at least make it exclusive for like a year, by which point, Xbox 2 would already by released to the public. That doesn't seem to be the case. Perhaps what was in the contract was possibly a GTA game for the PSP. Rockstar also mentioned that they are bringing "titles based on two of Rockstar's premier brands" to the PSP. GTA would seem to be a good choice, but I also doubted this to be true since the streaming required would probably not do the PSP's battery life any favors; however, I read that supposedly GTA was already mentioned to be on the PSP in the last Rockstar quarterly report and a magazine article already mentioned that a PSP GTA should be released before 2006, so who knows. A GTA/Max Payne combo for the PSP would make Sony pretty happy, I guess.
Hope there will be some kind of adapter to plug it directly into the outlets in the arm rests of planes. The short battery life isn't going to helpful to entertain me on my 9+7hr flights.....
