hmm ive seen certain programs for single games. like super smash brothers. but they havent been able to emulate zelda yet. apparently the psp isnt powerful enough to run it they say. in certain aspects.

I believe you can run homebrew (emulators in particular) on firmware 2.0 now.

No ISO loader for 2.0 yet, but nobody wants those anyway, right?

yeah 2.0 isnt the problem, you can always downgrade those back to 1.5, but i was unfortunate to order the 2.01 which anything after 2.0 isnt downgradable.

so i plugged my psp in to charge yesterday, went to fry's and got me liberty stories and a 1 gb pro duo(49.99 after rebate) and came home to pop it in. anyways, the psp was sitting on my computer desk with the power cord running underneath the desk and wrapping around a leg of my chair. so my dumbass, not paying attention, pulls my chair out, which tugs the cord and throws the psp on the wood floor. i pick it up and look it over and think, ok ,looks alright. i turn it on and the f@#king lcd screen is cracked in multiple places. i was so pissed. luckily i looked online and i can get a replacement lcd for 40-50 bucks, i just have to open the thing up and put it in, which i think i can handle. i'm a little relieved cause i have a nice 1.50 and i didn't want to put down for a whole new one.

long story short, don't drop your psp. :)

I think there's an app that tricks your PSP into thinking it has the 2.0 firmware. I'm assuming that's what he used if he got that far. Never tried the app before personally, so not sure how well it works or if I got the details correct.

How much did you get your 1.5 for? I got mine from eBay for about $220 (including shipping) used. But it's totally worth it. I get to play all my favorite Nintendo games from back then. Ahh the nostalgia :)

You can get that program at this place,http://pspupdates.qj.net/. Just do a little research in their forum under the help section or go into the download section for anyone that needs to...

    1. install homebrew/emulators
    2. Downgrade your firmware
    3. Tricking your PSP to use for a certain fw to play newer games, while still keeping your 1.5 or whatever fw you use for homebrew.
