y'all see Monta and Fisher leaving the court after the game. Monta had a arm around Fisher's shoulder, and Fisher looked to be explaining the play. Monta looked like a really good sport there. I would *not* have been talking to anyone for like 30 minutes after that play if I were Monta. Much better sport than I would have been.
yeah, the one bad call that prevented an open baron davis 3 that could've won it. does he make it? maybe, maybe no. but he should have had the chance. which brings up a point. after the rockets/warriors game and this play, it appears it's hard to keep baron from getting wide open on inbounds plays at the end. either the warriors are great at picks or they're holding somewhere in there.
ARRGGHHH. He didn't have to act like he was hurt at the end. You CAN suspend the ref who called it or the 2 refs that allowed that call to happen. For life. Well not for life but that was a bull**** call.
Agree on suspending the referee. Games should NOT be decided like that. If anything, there should be a replay. CRAPPY ending to an awesome game.
Stupid, stupid Referee. They are even told not to make calls like that to decide a game. Leave it for the 1st quarter. PLAY ON
that's such a college call. college refs always seem eager to make calls and inject themselves into the outcome when neither team wants it. both teams would've been perfectly fine if no offensive or defensive foul was called there and the play just went on. sure, there was a foul somewhere, but both teams would've understood a no call, but delaney jumped in and made a game-changing call. nba refs are usually good about not doing that, but not here.
At least we have a good news that Warriors is 4.5 games behind us. But I have been looking forward to double OT. Sad that the refs made a bad call..
Unfortunately, the NBA refs can't allow good endings to games to happen as it takes attention away from them. They MUST be the star of the show. Corrupt morons.
really upsetting. i feel like who the heck cares if it was an awesome game. we all got cheated (besides the lakers) out of the ending it deserved.
It's foolish to tell people who don't like the Lakers to stop "hating" them. And no matter how you spin it, that one call casts a pall over the result. It's really too bad a great game had such a sour ending. Would have been better if the Warriors had legitimately turned the ball over or missed the shot.
The Lakers fought hard for that win but it will go down as luck because of that stupid call. Now it seems as if they did NOT deserve it when in fact they played hard to the end and never gave up. I hate NBA refs. Why can't Yao get calls like that? For himself and the team? Stupid refs....
what are you talking about? it wasn't like a typical flail all over the place flop. it looked like he was back-pedaling and as he and ellis were jostling for position he started to fall and then just reached out and pulled ellis down. ellis at least partially was what knocked him over (and then he tripped on someone's foot). i could almost see a call if ellis had somehow popped wide open b/c of the play, then you're trying to prevent a game changing no-call (even if it's a wrong call), but since both guys just fell down you, no harm no foul, just let it go.
All I'm saying is that no one will ever talk about or give credit to Vujacic for hitting the 3 and passing to LO. Also Kobe came through and hit two big fts to seal the game. No body will talk about how well the lakers played the last minute and half...
