Will this be prove to be a factor for HOU's postseason success? Good fair analysis http://www.goldenstateofmind.com/20...en-state-warriors-andrew-bogut-injury-history Andrew Bogut has a right to be frustrated with his injury history. Most recently, he's been diagnosed with bone edema and chondromalacia, but he has also experienced a medley of injuries in his past. What does the future hold? ... In summary: Bogut's body type is correlated with a high injury risk He plays a defensive, uncompromising style of basketball that opponents respond to with physical play He boasts quite the salmagundi of both typical and unusual injuries He has now had issues with both his back and his knees, two injuries that are often reoccurring He seems to be developing a more longterm approach to injuries/health compared to his earlier days, I mean come on, he now treats himself like an old muscle car From what I can glean from Kerr's statements, twitter, fantasy news, etc.(multiple sources), Bogut could return sometime in January provided he responds well to the PRP treatment. If, after being reevaluated, the medical staff decides that another round of PRP treatment would be beneficial, this could easily be longer. Considering 1-5 above, I'd imagine this could be a lengthy, cautious, process. After all, everyone is most concerned about a healthy squad for the postseason.
that amare injury was the career changer but if he didn't swing violently forward on dunks like always did it wouldn't have happened.
With the rockets length and speed clamping down on shooters and our multiple skilled bigs going at Bogut all night.. who is their only good 7 ftr Warriors are donezo
The falloff in their frontcourt after Bogut is substantial. He is almost as important to them as Curry, and even more important than Thompson
I'm not going to go that's far but I will say that without bogut they are not a true contender. Sure they can get hot and beat anyone on any night but without bogut they rely on shooting instead of the always consistent defense.
He's not outright Laimbeer dirty (thought probably would be in a different era), but Bogut's constantly getting into scuffles for the petty bull***** he pulls on practically every possession. Elbowing guys above the collarbone when boxing them out, grabbing dude's arms to prevent them from rotating or getting rebounding position, plus the blatant stuff like the hit on Faried in the playoffs and grabbing Blake Griffin to get him ejected. Give him credit, he puts the 'artist' in 'cheapshot artist'. But I don't like to watch it. Some years back Amar'e undercut Bogut on an open court fastbreak dunk and he basically shattered his elbow on the fall.
He is almost more important than Curry. Anchors their defence, and plays a pivotal role in their offence with his passing/ spacing. He is a guy who has wasted his career offensively. Has very nice skills on the offensive end, but is too passive to take over. Could have been close to a 20ppg scorer, but either didn't want to, or wasn't developed to - and so has become a paint controller who is very 'smart' on offence.
bit different, Yao had small feet for a dude his size which led to chronic stress fractures, just couldnt handle the nba game anymore. Bogut has had a few freak injuries but he's definitely going down path.
