    Good advice. I believe this is exactly what is going to transpire. We might even be seeing a 75 bps cut which will really show the Fed is in panic mode.

    It is just a temporary bandage for a large gash on a forehead.

    Not looking good for when the market opens today - futures are showing a 400+ point down open at the moment. R0ckets03 should probably be put on suicide watch unless something improves quickly. :D

    Obviously over the last few times just cutting the fedrate does not work. At least keep the value of the dollar stable.

    Listen this is standard procedure to shakeout weak hands while accumulating for the solid move back up.The use of the media,buying and selling shakes,etc.

    Pretty impressive recovery by the market so far. I think there is an outside shot at finishing in the black today.

    who knows how it will finish...but the media is so quick to jump on any bad news. The CNN.com headline story at 10:10 AM included the following:

    "Federal Reserve's emergency interest-rate cut failed"

    now, it certainly looked like this was true, but that was an hour into trading.

    If the market does finish up today, look for a several hundred point increase tomorrow.

    Don't pullout when the market is low. One it only causes the market to drop more. Two you will make money eventually in a mutual fund, unlike individual stocks. Three, you make more money by investing when the market is down and selling when it is up. My money has dropped 10% since April. But consider it is still three times my initial investment ten years ago. It will bounce back eventually.
