As for having any extras, i may have some when I get home tonight, so I'll update this thread when I get home from work if I have any extras.
I'll get back to you tonight, when I'll know if I have a few extras. Shoot me an email to remind me david2000@gmail.com
I realize it's probably too late to get in on your extras list (if not please let me know). However, when we go to the semis are you going to do this again? If so I would like to get on that list early.
April 22nd is the start date for the playoffs. If we have home court advantage, that would mean the first game is on a Sunday.
If we dont have HCA would that mean game 3 would be friday the 27th? i wish the nba would release some prototype schedules. i need to book my plane ticket!
Don't bet on it - ABC will almost certainly insist on having (assuming seedings hold) Miami vs Cleveland, Phoenix-Lakers, and either Dallas-LAC or SA-Den as their triple header. Don't underestimate Stern's ability to make this happen. My guess is our Game 1 is either Friday or Saturday, with Game 2 on Monday or Tuesday. I may be wrong here, but I do not believe the playoffs will begin on the 22nd. I believe Thursday the 19th will be an off day, and the first games of the playoffs will be on Friday the 20th. Did you see something official that stated the 22nd? Evan
That'd be nice! I'd still suspect that we would not have Game 1 on Sunday - Monday would be my bet. Evan
TNT's website is saying the 22nd, but NBA.com is saying the 21st. Either way, I'd bet money our game 1 will NOT be on marquee Sunday. Evan
You know, they had the playoffs last year. I'm thinking there will be four game ones on saturday, four game ones on sunday. I bet ABC only picks up one game on saturday with the other three on ESPN. I bet it will start on ESPN at noon, then the ABC game with Miami or Cleaveland or both of them. Then Back to ESPN at 5PM and 8:30. Same thing on Sunday. ESPN at noon, followed by the Lakers or Phoenix on ABC at 2:30. The TNT will pick up the double header in the evening. Then it gets r****ded. You may not play again until Tuesday or Wednesday. ESPN, TNT, and NBATV will get the games until the Weekend again. I like it the old way on NBC/TNT/TBS. I think it used to start in the middle of the week, and TNT and TBS would have it on at the same time. On the weekends NBC would have triple headers. Those were fun days. Can't wait to go.
