I dont shop at HEB or Wal-Mart or Target

Those places make me feel like a plebeian.

The Fiesta at Blalock and I-10 was the best. My current favorite is the Kroger on West Gray.

You guys like Whole Foods and Central Market? I can never find the stuff I like to eat in those places. I don't care if I get the best brie or the freshest cantaloupes, I'm looking for normal stuff

HEB, but only because its close to my house. I typically like HEB, but I don't really like the one near my house (Gessner/Kempwood). Dunno why....just don't like this one in particular.

I prefer Kroger, but not so much that I'll drive the extra two minutes it'd take to get there.

    And Costco. Costco effin' rules.

    Central Market on Westhiemer.

I don't like eating what the common folk eat.

Why did that Fiesta on I-10 and Bunker Hill shut down? Is it because of the highway construction?

I like Randall's for their bakery. HEB usually has a crappy bakery, but more selection.

the expansion took 40% of their parking lot, so they claimed they couldn't stay open without the spaces.

Yep, when I was at U of H that was the closest non-Third Ward grocery store, via Metro. The Krogers up here (Omaha) are all called Baker's. I go to one of those, or a Whole Foods that just opened up on my street.

My local grocery options blow. The local competition is mainly between Wal-Mart Supercenter (like their prices, hate their selection) and a local/regional chain called Harp's that has ridiculous prices. There is a Wal-Mart Neighborhood market in town, but it is completely out of the way based on where I live.
