It's not really a true representation of what people spend. I wrote down some prices at HEB on June 9, 2025 to compare to later, when I started seeing prices rise. I'll compare them to today's prices on the HEB app. 1 LB of 80% HEB ground beef has risen 49% It went from $4.93 to $7.34 A gallon of HEB milk has risen 31% It went from $3.12 a gallon to $4.08 A 25.9 oz container of Folgers coffee has risen 40% It has gone from $11.98 to $16.74 This is all in less than a year. These are basics! There is nothing special about these groceries. People should be disgusted when Trump brags about building the biggest and most beautiful arches and ballrooms, and taking over affordable public golf courses to make them unaffordable. The focus right now in America shouldn't be about vanity projects, ballrooms, statues, arches, and dropping bombs everywhere. The focus shouldn't be taking a trillion or more from Americans to fund the war machine either. It's disgusting. But Trump has said it himself. He doesn't care.
