He would be a decent consolation prize for us. It all depends what the Grizzlies management wants. I am sure DM will keep an eye on him.

He'll end up in Miami in a desperate attempt by Riley to keep LBJ.

I Like Randolph and think he'd be a really nice upgrade for the team right now, but he's turning 33 in a couple of weeks and has played 14 seasons in the nba. Signing him to anything more then a 2 year contract would be a bad move in my opinion. I'm sure that's the same snag with the grizzles he's having, he probably wants a 3-4 year contract. Can't see us guaranteeing somebody that old with that many miles big bucks over that period of time.

I know his game doesn't rely on athleticism much at all, but still a injury and or his level of play regressing should hit him soon.

This should be our number 1 option. Give me ZBo & Rondo, thats all we need

    Rondo
    Harden
    Parsons
    Randolph
    Howard

    No no no no no.

Our guy is Love. We want Love. This situation with Zach possibly opting out could create more urgency on Minny's part to trade Love and get their cap space to go after Pau on July 1st. That's what we want...urgency on Minnesota's part to trade Love, Martin, and expirings so they have the cap space to sign Pau before Memphis gets to him.

More options the better ZBo would be great.

This whole "We need Kevin Love" campaign needs to stop. This team needs to adopt more of a half court game and focus on getting more quality shots. I'm not sure if you guys obsession with Kevin Love is based on pure basketball, or the fact he's Kevin Love and it'll be cool to have him in Houston. But ZBo's a better solution. Especially in the playoffs when the game slows down. The Rockets will win more playoff games with a player like Zbo/D.West than K.Love.

Thinking about it more, I'm way more scared of Memphis is they get Pau and an upgrade at SF than if they run it back with Z-Bo.

Main thing is getting an upgrade over Tay Prince.

LOL ZBO is 32 years old, I've watched tons of Grizz games and all he really does the last 2 years is play fake D and takes shots and rebs that Marc Gasol could've easily made. What will ZBO do here in houston? He can't run with the fast breaks, he can't defend and while he can score in the post that'll just be taking shots away from DH.

Kevin Love MIGHT be worse than Zbo right now, but considering he is only 24 years old (a year younger than Parsons), there is still a large possibility he will improve. His stretch 4 skillset is something we desperately need to provide spacing for the other guys, and when push comes to shove Love can also score in the post. He had several 40 pt games in his career already, and not all of those points came off the 3.

I'd bet the Lakers if they can't get any of the big names, sign Z-Bo two years at $24/m while they have Kobe under contract. They probably have room for another solid free agent like Lowry, Stephenson or Deng. A lot depends on tomorrow.

Marcus Smart - Kobe - Stephenson or Deng - Z Bo

    or

    Lowry - Kobe - Aaron Gordon - Z Bo

Get a bunch of cut throat competitive guys like that on a roster, if healthy they'll fight for 7th/8th spot in the West. Lakers need to maximize Kobe's twilight years if they strike out completely on Lebron/Melo/Love.

You think the Grizzlies are a top five team...
They are perennial dark horses that will never have a chance to win a title.

I mean they aren't scrubs, but they are definitely not a top five team.

Losing Randolph is going to hurt.
Memphis has no appeal for free agents.

Dude of course they do. They won't ever sign a top 10 guy but that doesn't mean they won't sign very good players in the NBA.

This whole idea of good players never signing in small markets is complete nonsense. Al Jefferson signed with Charlotte last season. There are only 30 teams in the NBA at the end of the day.

Zbo 32 yr old? So what. All of San Antonio's big 3 are around that age and they beat Miami. Mean absolutely nothing. Basketball is basketball. Your logic is flawed. If Zbo plays fake D then you have not watched Love play defense. It's non existent. What can Zbo do here? Post up, hit midrange jumpers, offensive & defensive rebound, get to the free throw line, spot minutes for Howard at center, and provide another halfcourt option when the game slows down.

Also, if he's gonna take shots away from Howard then won't Love do the same thing? This logic is trash
