Chalmers would instantly be the best PG on the Rockets.

Mario would easily be the best "winner" on the roster. Maybe he would teach that to Dwight, James, and KD!

Will the Rockets waive TJones to save some cash or create another roster spot like the Grizzlies did here with Chalmers.

Is that even legal in CBA terms to waive an injured player like that ?

they did nothing cold. Chalmers will still get his full pay. They only did it to free a roster spot because they have too many players injured and he's out for the season. And it's not like with a torn Achilles they will even need his bird rights to sign him if they want.

Anyway, sad to see this. He was playing very well for the Grizzlies. Now he will not be back to start the season. And at his age, almost 30 too, with such a serious injury..Get well soon Mario.

This. I don't know why people think this is cold blooded. He still gets the pay. Nobody will pick him up this season. And since his contract is expiring, he is free to sign with anyone after the season anyway.

Was likely going to become a mid season acquisition by some team either way. I feel for him though because his value immediately dropped after the tear.
