They could use a 3 point shooter, none of their guards are particularly good outside shooters besides Mayo. Von shot almost 40% from 3 last season

Von has elite scoring potential, i dont think there are many teams in the nba that couldnt benefit somewhat by adding him, thats IF he could keep it cool in the locker room..

Von is a young, athletic scorer. If you can get one of those guys for cheap, you do it. Nobody on this team is shooting as well as he did last year. Sure, his defense and his brain may not be stellar, but we know he can score, and that will help the team.

I want to see Von explode and go after the coach when he doesn't get any playing time. =) It's going to be Allen Iverson 2.0.

In his prime, AI had elite scoring potential

Kobe Bryant has elite scoring potential

Lebron James has elite scoring potential

elite is to imply a cut above the rest on a sustainable level

Von has a plus offensive game with a minus defensive game and a non-existent brain

I hope we can get him back because he was one of my favorite players. I followed him when he was in Greece and I will continue to follow him in Memphis.

He brought so much energy and explosiveness to this team and I really miss that. Hopefully we can get him back somehow.

Great to have you back in the NBA Von!

I think Wafer will refuse to come off the bench. ;)

vons a above average ball player and has an ego so what maybe thats what we are missing this year is that attitude. we need some body with a big ego on our team someone to take over late in the game.

I will admit, I was on the Wafer bandwagon last year. But this year, CBud has pretty much taken his spot and filled it with better play.

The on thing though I miss of Von was his passion after hitting a big dunk.

    CBud is a better version.

Griz can have Von - it doesn't matter.

I loved VON when we had him, he became one of my favorite Rockets.

Sad his head doesn't match his on the court skills....

i'd HATE to be their coach, if they were going to sign Wafer, then they should have just kept and started AI over Conley.

You're in denial if you think you didn't get excited every time Von came into the game last year. I can't even recount how many mohawks I saw during the playoffs. That being said, it was one good year, and he has no respect for those above him.

Give me Air Bud all day, any day.
