They haven't brought in vets to help them out. West would have made them a good team. Wallace and their owner are to blame.

This is the only reason a regulation style system would appeal to sports fans. For underserving teams like the Grizzlies, the Pirates and even the Raiders to get relegated to a lower league. Just ridiculous how the team in Memphis is going about their business. I kinda feel bad for any fans they still have.
scouting is overrated anyway. Who cares what plays and what weaknesses the other team has when the main goal starting from game 1 is to tank to get the first pick.

if by that you mean a DLeague team or a CBA or ABA team is better than the Grizzlies, then I guess you are definitely right. The city didn't want to build a new arena or even renovate the existing Key Arena in order to prepare itself for a dynasty of Kevin Durant.

Memphis has a good-up and coming core with Rudy, OJ, Conley and Gasol. Now they've added Zach Randolph.. say what will about him being a headcase but he can get you a 20 & 10 each night (when he plays). The team just needs better direction and much better coaching. They played fairly well under Hubie Brown and Mike Fratello but of course lost all 12 of their playoff games. Better management and better coaching is all that's needed for the Grizzlies. The talent is there if they build the right building blocks around them. They have no consistency in their coaching staff. They've had 6 coaches in past 6 years. And this is will be Lionel Hollins 3rd go-around with the team.. a combined record of 31-72.
Grizz might be able to get "MemphisX" to scout for them for free. Why don't they just fold this franchise. They can take the Bobcats along with them.
