    If they wanted to tank, they'd have left Bob Hill to run things. Holy crap, I hope we never have to see that guy in the NBA again ...

    I'm not sure if Bob Hill or Bob Weiss was worse. Either way, they picked a dandy pair to coach that team.

    At least Weiss wasn't an absolute turd. Remember, Hill spent the bulk of his time between being fired from the Spurs in December 1996 until now calling up writers and (lying) about being involved in new coach discussions for various teams.

    Even dumber was they let Sarge walk away before they hired those two clowns.

    Jerry almost didn't mind the system in 2003. The Grizzlies were the 6th worst team in the league. The ping pong balls were going his way, he was jumping up on teams that were worse than his. Then he was all the way up to the 2nd pick in the draft when his team was finally picked. He was ready to jump for joy that night if his team won the number 1 pick, it would've meant they got to keep the pick (not send to Detroit) and that they would get James. It almost wasn't a problem for West that night.
