Look, I dislike the Clippers as much as the next person, particularly Rivers & Evans (formerly.... Griffin), but THIS is top notch douche. And worse, it doesn't even make sense with the Pistons clinging to life in the Eastern conference. (Sorry for massive photo)
Unless he's referring to the Pistons having a real history of success unlike the Clips (which is a massive stretch), yeah this makes no sense
Pistons have a stronger legacy, he probably notices a lot of diff things from the hollywood life of the clippers aka one of the worst franchises in sports history when you look at the entire catalog.
Clippers are the poster-child for worst-run franchise in NBA history. His comment is douche, yes, but it makes sense.
he is probably referring to the dysfunction and the wide reports that clipper lock rooms were never cohesive. no one ever hung out outside or went to dinner or things like that outside of the court.
Blake should have kept his mouth shut. He's gonna burn bridges he might not want to. Pistons are gonna trade him in two years anyway.
Considering he got lucky genetically by being able to jump over a Kia. And made hundreds of millions doing so. The entity that enabled you to do that is being talked about negatively in public is comical.
I guess. I was under the impression that things had been changing for the better over the past couple of years, post-Sterling. I might read it differently if he had gone to the Spurs or Warriors or some team with a lauded coaching staff and culture. Maybe he's talking about the fan loyalty? Do the Clippers even have fans?
I'm aware of their history; it just seems like a strange comment because the Pistons have been mismanaged for the past decade or so and aren't faring much better than the Clippers
If Balmer doesn't throw the kill switch on Rivers this year, then... ah who cares, he has more money than he can count.
If he's talking fans, history and legacy ...then he's not wrong. Just because the clips have been good the last 6 years doesn't erase the long history of failure of that organization. Detroit is a working person's town with real people who love basketball and don't have much else, but a proud pistons legacy. Sure for Blake it's probably sour grapes, but i hate the clippers.
With his ridiculous contract, Blake has nothing to lose. The more I think about that, the more I can't believe the Pistons traded for him. VC has no business making fun of anybody. His nickname back in the day should have been half-man, half-sissy.
Watching a team like the Pistons trade for Blake for hopes of their franchise player just makes me love James Harden that much more.
The dude is just a sh!tty person.. he's shown it through his actions, his play and his relationships with other players.
