more importantly, Gortat extended his arms (bracing for impact) and created contact before Griffin actually got to him.
Yup I noticed that too. Another reason why I hate the charge call. A lot of times the defender picks up a charge call by sliding in front of the offensive player who has already made his move in the air.
that should have been an and 1, if the charge/block call is questionable, that dunk puts it into the block territory.
That wasn't a charge. Gortat was NOT set before Blake jumped. And then he like had to get on his tippy toes as he jumped and avoid being in the circle.
Here comes the troll!! CHILL! BLAKE IS NOT EVEN THAT GREAT, this particular play wasn't even a dunk he didn't even touch the rim he just threw it in cause he didnt jump far enough to dunk it, Lame! Then he runs away like a douchebag/dramaqueen crying out like his mother was just shot. Until people like him and dwight howard develop some offensive game besides being able to jump high and dunk they get no respect from me. Anyone with those guys body size/type should be able to dunk a ball like that.... nothing special.
have you ever seen him play? he has a nice mid range game, and can hit the 3 too. Don't judge his game by his sportscenter highlights

btw: the rule is that the defender must be completely set before the offensive player jumps. When the contact happens doesn't matter if the offensive players is in the air. The rule is that you cannot slide under a guy who is jumping...the whole circle thing is about protected a dunker from someone sliding underneath him. That's a very close call. Griffin wasn't off the ground yet, but was in process of jumping while Gortat was still positioning himself. I agree. If the dunk is successful, a charge should never be called. What? Are we now going to call TMac for charging into Bradley or Carter for the French dude in the olympics. nonsense. KingCheetah...watch the slow mo. Griffin never used his off hand to leverage the dunk.
I don't agree. Watch this slowly. Pause when Griffin starts his jump. Gortat is still inside the circle. I will agree it's very close. But I'd say it is so close, tie should go to the dunker. The rule states the defender must be set prior to the dunker jumping. It's a gray area when that jump begins...but Griffin was completely on his way up when Gortat slid into place. That is dangerous. And it should not be rewarded, because the whole spirit of the rule is to protect the dunker (originally MJ).
Cmon ashlin step your game up!! At least the other vets on the board posted "troll" themed pictures and flash videos! All you came up with was "nobody has respect for you" huh!? Oooh you got me there!! haha weak!
