we already paid him off.. bought out his contract. So he is free and clear from any obligation to us. I dont think he will be able to play until all his court issues have been settled which may make him a nonfactor this year. I wish him the best but I dont want him to bring his A game against us. It was his fault for getting into all kinds of trouble not our managements. Im hoping he can straighten out his life and all but I dont want him to become a rocket killer or anything. That would plain suck. J again Ill be giving all the Nets players and management the finger all season
i am disapointed with the decision of the traded the first time and im still with the idea then i saw that is really a blow out we can't get nothing of that .that bull*hi* at least some first rounders will be good i see why San Antonio want to trade turkuglo or wathever his name is for cutino i think that with the mental capacity that CD have he would pull the triger on that trade just to have a some kind of good at power foward 4
He was a bust in Houston. But he's a young kid and I wish him well. The draft trade was the right one to make. It just didn't work out. No point on hating on the kid now. I hope he gets his life together. But the time had come to get out of Dodge.
How can Les Alexander not be pissed. If I am him, I am furious. CD essentially gave New Jersey 4 first round picks for absolutely nothing. CD diserves to be fired immediately. I personally have never been this upset in regards to the Rockets. I know EG was a problem, and that it would probably be better for him to move on but this is just like putting salt on the wound.
Sted, either you are blind or you have never seen either Rhodes or Jefferson play. why do people think Jefferson can't play without Kidd, sure Kidd has made him and his numbers improve at a faster rate, but the boy has skills and a great work ethic

As far as draft blunders... that was a big gamble. You win some and you lose some. This deffinately hurts but there have been other drafts where we took a gamble and won. It frees up some money for next year and so just take the cards you are dealt and make the most of it. I still can't believe we got Mobley in the second round... He kicks ass. (last game not withstanding). His attitude and work ethic is what I like to see on the team. Same with Stevie. It is going to take him some time to adjust to this offense. He has the desire and is at a good place in his career to work on his role. This is going to be a really good team. Right now we're ok... The core of this team has heart and sole... alright... getting close to game time... see ya' at the warehouse. I'll let you buy me a beer...

These were the odds of getting the #1 for the 2003 Lottery: 1 - 22.50% 2 - 22.50% 3 - 15.70% 4 - 12.00% 5 -- 8.90% 6 -- 64 6.40% 7 -- 44 4.40% 8 -- 29 2.90% 9 -- 15 1.50% The odds of the Rockets getting Yao Ming were less than 1 in 10. Had the Rockets won even 1 more game, the odds dropped to a fraction better than 1 in 20. Had the Rockets won 2 more games, the odds dropped to a fraction worse than 1 in 20. Now, if the Richard Jefferson Rockets would have been a mere 5 games better the the Griffin Rockets (up to 33 wins from the 28 actual), the odds decreased to about 1 in 33. Think about it...with Griffin ~ 1 in 10. With a 5 game swing to the plus side, 1 in 33. This is the origin of my "No Griffin, no Yao" comment.
How is it that people have decided that a guy who may go to PRISON and never showed any degree of determination whatsoever is now going to become an all star? There is no question that this was a MAJOR disaster, but it doesn't make Griffin a superstar.
Give me a break, how can anybody blame CD for Griffin suddenly deciding not to play hard and then get into trouble off the court? And, last i checked, Kidd wasn't a wizard or a sorcerer or a god. He's not going to all of a sudden make Griffin a bad ass player. I have no respect for Griffin because I have no respect for a player who shows no effort, heart, or determination, or willingness to get better. The Rockets made the right decision trading for him, but Griffin didn't take advantage of the opportunity, so I'm glad he's gone. That's the end of that.
What has Griffin done that makes people think he will do that!? And the Rockets didn't provide their frontcourt, Kenyon Martin wasn't given to them by the Rockets. And where would Griffin play anyway? I mean really, what the heck has Griffin done that makes people think he will shine? I gave him a chance, but you have to work hard and play hard to do that. You also can't do it from a jail cell. Besides, the way things are going, Kenyon Martin and/or Kidd might be gone.
Eddie is back home in the east where he belongs!!!! Im so glad he is getting an opportunity to play for a better team. Im glad NJ sees his potential unlike Houston The rockets r gonna be sorry they turned their backs on him.

Apparently NJ is willing to take a chance, a chance WE are not willing to take on a 2nd chance for Griffin. What if these incidents that happened to Griffin PLUS the hospital stay to clear and focus his mind actually makes him a better player. It is a gamble for sure. But seeing as WE are the team that gambled on him in the first place shouldn't we see this thing THROUGH and take the gamble ourselves? How about we don't cut Griffin until he is actually, GASP, CONVICTED of the crime. How about we let the judicial system run its course and then see what happens. How about we give Griffin a 2nd chance since we SO HEAVILY invested in him as a player. How about we try to find every solution we can to see how we can maximize Griffin before we throw him away?
Only time will tell, but I belive he has as good a chance of being a highly productive NBA player than the Rockets have of winning a championship in the next five years. This is now a gutted team with the EG departure just another of a long list of poor decisions regarding players. The team is closer to being a team to start over than one ready to contend. It did not have to be like that. I just think that the team with Posey or Thomas and EG is better than this one. Like Mobley said, it is crazy. I would say it is stupidity and or senility. I just do not think that you can be making great decisions when you are making decisions that are different to those of Thorn, Hubie Brown and the Logo.
