I have always been a fan of Vazquez. He is a tough, smart player.

Vazquez all day! I use to be a proponent of trading for Rondo but agreed seeing last year's disaster I would want no part of that ego.

Oh Masai. So much more quotable than Mury.

Don't know about that. Morey did give us this gem:

"To be a championship team, you have to be the one that finds the Chandler Parsons, not the one that pays the Chandler Parsons."

I see Vasquez (6.6M expiring) as the back up plan for Rockets if Bev cant be resigned. I see 3yr 18M as the threshold for Bev.

    I like this.
    Vazquez - llull
    Harden - Terry
    Ariza - Brewer
    D-Mo - ???
    Howard - Capela

This probably won't be the roster but it's solid and better upgrade at pg. But I see Morey doing something unexpected.

I'd prefer him over Rondo any day. Better fit. Defensively not that great but he can get hot offensively and is a decent play maker. Very solid back up.

Rather have Nate Robinson, but if Beverley is gone I don't see us signing no-D point guard. CJ Miles 3&D guy as a back up - perfect fit. ;)

Yeah if PB is gone, I agree.

CJ is a natural 2 guard, so as a back up for Harden a great option as well, but is he even available? Anyway, playing CJ and Vasquez off the bench would be ideal.

Is this true? If so, that's not good. We need defenders in the worst way, especially if we're losing Beverly.

I could find it insulting if I were a FA hearing that.

I think the word you're looking for is "offended" instead of "insulting"

Parsons was majorly overpaid - there are no two ways around it. It's business, not personal.

Decent guy for $6M/year. Terrible guy for $15M/year.
Can't make a case for "I can't live off $6M/year". Anything beyond that is just pure ambition.

I get it and like the quote because it put Pubes and Parsons in their cocky little place.

But can be taken in different ways, and this fits more with the story of "Asset man" Morey who finds the best bargains and undervalues objects.

Maybe I'm top talent who gets paid like top talent, but if I have room to expand and do better, I'm gonna look to get paid. Overpaid. Working with Morey makes working for that payday a bit harder and keeps your agent on top of his game.

    That's right.

I can't decide whether to thank you or hate you.
