I agree. Phil is great for what he has had, but Pop is masterful. I don't think it's any coincidence that the Spurs always seems to get serious production out of random no-names. It's also hard to say how much is from having a well-balanced core of Duncan, Manu, and Parker and how much is him. But clearly he's an important part of it.
One of the better recipients of the award. They too often get caught up with cinderella teams that turn out to be one year wonders....and a coach that turns out to be vastly overrated. The award has snubbed far more deserving coaches than it's recognized. But this is a good one.
