Would be nice to get another big body in there but I think Greg Smith is like that old car sitting on blocks in at the end of the street.

    Either that or he's like:

Bottom line is....I'm skeptical that he will be ready by playoff time when we need as many big bodies as possible

Yeah....but if he cant stay healthy shouldnt we shouldnt have too much trouble finding another big body to fill up space.

Greg adds tremendous depth to the team right now if he is healthy. I don't think the Rockets want to get rid of him since there is probably a strong possibility the Rockets investigate trading Omer again in the summer or even going into next years trade deadline.

Even if Omer is gone this summer so is Smith. His window closed this summer league if watched it.

He's regressed and never really grew over the last year and I thought the only reason he made the team was because Morey saw him as an asset for trade.

I think Greg's role for the bigs is similar to AB's role for our PG's.

I would rather get rid of these players in this order 1) Garcia 2) Casspi 3) Greg Smith.

I think Greg Smith still has some value to our team. He's a big body on a cheap contract.

His value to our team hasn't dropped a bit. It's just an ordinary injury for a very young player on dirt cheap contract. We just have so many good bigs playing ahead of him.

When he's healthy last year he played like a lottery pick for stretches.

I like Greg Smith. He's been injured, but the few times he did play he contributed this season. Ya'll are too quick to dismiss guys who haven't even really played

his progress the past two years is promising though what seemed to be a little knee bump surely turned into something more serious.

He's been injured so often, I don't think you can really depend on him playing big minutes as a rotation player. If we somehow traded Asik in the off-season would you be confident having Smith as the full time backup center? I think he's an OK player as a backup, but I have serious concerns of about a young player that can't stay healthy.

I dont dismiss his play at all.....he fills his roll nicely. The thing I pointed out was you cant fill your roll if you cant play. This is about injuries not play.

Two very strange injuries this season; Asik and Smith. But I am not a huge man playing in the NBA so I really have nothing else to add.

I thought Greg was healthy/available again but just out of the rotation.

He's been cleared to play since Thursday. He used to take Dmo's minutes but guess what? Dmo is forcing the coaching staff's hand. Dmo's just better.
