You're not being classless (well, maybe you are) as much as you're being ignorant. A). That is a picture of the Actress Sally Fields B). Sally Ride is actually the first woman in space and died on the Challenger shuttle.
No,Yao broke his tibial Plateau http://www.cbc.ca/sports/basketball/story/2006/12/24/ming-rockets-injury.html
I agree that Roy/Durant/Aldridge combo looks pretty brutal on paper. But Roy is already whining about shots and its not a secret. Poor Oden :-(
History doesn't repeat itself with Darko, since Portland never drafted him. Portland drafted Sam Bowie, a great injury proned center, over another great swingman(Jordan). Portland drafted another great injury proned center, over another great swingman(Durant). Darko just flat out sucked, and he was drafted by Detroit in the East.
Where did his knee connect with Aaron? In the replay it looks like he barely touches Brooks' thigh or butt.
I just saw a clip, its terrible http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dcXWZuTWDM look at the fans sit in courtside, even magrady and brain cook turn their head around
On February 13, 2009, he injured his left knee in a game against the Golden State Warriors, by bumping knees with opponent Corey Maggette, and missed three weeks due to a fractured knee cap. ______ This is from his wiki page so could be wrong.
Four pages into this thread and no sign of A_3PO? Should we be worried? Talk about a bizarre injury. Oden has a lot in common with our Rockets team -- without bad luck he wouldn't have any luck at all.
Brooks looks like he makes minimal contact with Oden, not enough to cause an injury even. Oden does wince in pain even before he lands from his jump, so it was the minimal contact with Brooks or the lift from his jump that caused the injury, either way it shows how brittle Oden is. I know I said this last year that Oden is made of glass and a young guy like that shouldn't have so many injuries, don't see how he sustains a career in the NBA with a body like that and the grueling NBA schedule.
I feel bad for the guy, but I do respect the Blazers announcers mentioning our name when it comes to dealing with season-ending injuries.
Well, as Rocket's fans we certainly know how that feels. The annual injury. The only difference, they still have Roy.....we seem to lose both our stars.
