Sources say Portland is pushing Greg Oden in trade talks. Oden's injury history, predictably, has GM's reluctant.

Portland likes Brooks don't they? (Edit: not that Brooks is all it would take)

If he can stay healthy, Oden and Patterson could possibly be great.... If Oden is healthy.

No. Oden might be large... but he's always injured.

Exactly. This screams upside. Huge gamble at a discounted price. But if he becomes healthy would be the Rockets next great center

I am used to this 'injury feeling'. I say we pick him up. Position of need and high upside right?

NO NO NO. He won't stay healthy. He's got a leg that's shorter than the other, bad enough to walk with a limp.

I'd do it if the asking price were right. Nothing more than Brooks.

Too bad he's guaranteed to go down every season, within the first twenty games.

Why anyone would want the Rockets to latch onto another injury prone center is beyond me. Haven't we had enough already??

    Portland can keep Benjamin Button.

If Portland thinks that there's any chance that Oden can stay healthy they will not trade him. If Portland is indeed shopping Oden, that pretty much means that Oden is done.

I'd give up Jeffries for Oden, if nothing more than to have a rehab buddy for Yao. Plus, we could put him to work as the team photographer.

Holy god, no. Are you aware he's making $7M this year?

What the hell is the point? He's done for the season, he looked terrible even when he was on the court (foul and TO prone), and he's a RFA this summer...and won't even see his qualifying offer ($9M), meaning you're taking on a guy just to make him an UFA.

If we gave them Jeffries for him, a first rd pick better come along with him.

Well, if we are not going to get any healthy players.. Might as well make a team of injured players...

At least, wallpapers will be exciting.
