Monroe would be a good get. We need a back up big and back up PG. He can score and rebound. Would be even better with cp3 and Harden at the helm with him. He is def better than nene... therefore a upgrade. At the prorated vet min. he is a must get everyday of the weak. Now lets hope we can score Tyreke or send off ryan anderson. Both wins lol
im in the minority about the backup center. we dont really need one the way the team is. just need ti for the po's and i believe nene will be ready.
Monroe has a soft touch and can really dish the rock. We haven’t had a roll man that can both finish and pass like him since JSmoove. I assume that we'll pass and wait to see if Chandler or Lopez free up, but I do think Monroe would be lethal in the PNR with Harden/Paul
I wonder if he has improved that. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1493566-one-glaring-weakness-of-every-nba-teams-best-player
I'd rather we acquire a point guard or a power forward than another C. If Nene and Capela are healthy in the postseason there won't be room for defensive liabilities like Greg Monroe.
Rather wait for Tyson Chandler buyout but since this happened I doubt they let Chandler walk because they would be too thin at the Center position
I feel bad for disagree with @malakas for once but there's a reason the guy has been benched in multiple teams (it's not just Milwaukee) even though he does have a really good offensive game, he's one of those old school PFs who has little space in today's nba cause he can't really play at center without being a negative for your team, he might not be as bad as Kanter on defense but you just cannot play him as your starting center cause other teams would attack the rim too easily. Maybe he'll do ok in Boston since they have a super solid defense and they can surround him with athletic and smart defenders.
Boston & Houston sounds good, but Monroe is a cajon. Why not the Pelicans where he can be a starter in the absence of Boogie? He'll get more minutes to showcase himself in a contract year.
They were also already after him a few years ago if i'm not wrong, can't remember if via trade or before he signed with Milwaukee...
I wish the Suns bought out Chandler instead of Monroe. Pass on Monroe though. He couldn't co-exist in Detroit with Drummond and he had his moments with the Bucks but they shipped him out pretty quick. Now though the suns who are one of the worst in the league can't play well with him. I dont think he would fit the offense here and his defense is not great either. He can post up and score but that slows down our offense. I think he could help the team in specific scenarios but overall I think the open spot what little flexibility the team has cap wise is better spent elsewhere
