There are things about Stone I don’t like. He can be insecure and overly political. However I remember Daryl Morey saying that Stone has an ability to pick out talent… so that at least has given me hope.
It actually is not common among gen z to speak like this at all. It really bothered me at first because I thought it was being reflected in his ability on the court, it does not seem like that so I am cool with it. The way Mobley speaks is more common among gen z, it makes sense , but it is not as polished and not exactly a quality interview. As far as young personalities go, look at Lamelo and ANT, they both are quick witted and complete comedy, the sarcasm and quick wit make me think they are fairly intelligent and I think that really translates on the court for them, they both have swagger and exude confidence. They may use slang, but it actually means something. Jalen often seems like he is having an inside conversation with himself. I have realized that you can be a basketball genius and not too bright off court, Lebron is the perfect example of how you can be a savant at one thing, but be a complete moron otherwise.
