Why? He's playing against high school kids in Greece..........OK, how is that any different than when US players are playing in high school? Never heard of any NCAA or NBA teams having problems scouting American players when they are playing at high school level.
There are numerous examples of guys underperforming in NCAA. The NBA had.made mistakes drafting high schoolers like Bender and Brown. There is a lot more precedent with American HS as the number of Americans in NBA vastly outweighs those that played in Greece. The NBA had a hard time evaluating Lin out of a small college program.
Awesome. Some genius ruins the alignment of the first page by posting an enormous image, and an even more brilliant genius decides to ruin the alignment of the second page by quoting him. Spoiler tags are lifesavers. [*spoiler][*/spoiler] Remove the *
Well, Sam Presti and Darly Morey are said to have been blown away and in awe of him when they saw him.
I would take this kid with an early pick. Even if he is raw, he can dribble a little, shoot a little, and is a freak with size. Might as well stash and pray that he pans out
Morey and Presti always seem to be on top of the same talent. If rumors are true, it wouldn't surprise me if both men were angling for this kid and/or Zeller. I fully expect OKC to take Zeller if he isn't gone before they draft and if Zeller is gone, I think OKC take this kid.....that is if he isn't gone too.
^ I love the ref walking in that picture. And jeez that is a freakish looking hand. I don't think I'd mind if OKC picked him up at 12.
It's easy to see how scouts and gm's can be persuaded by natural ability. This picture is sick. But who the heck knows. I'd take a gamble on him... But it is a long term play. If it takes him years to equal Nicolas Batums offensive capabilities... Well that isnt exactly great. But he can be a heck of a defensive player, too.
