Any team with Melo on it is going to play a lot one on one basketball. It's basically Melo and Wade the entire 2nd half. James should've taken over a little earlier and Battier should've been on earlier because he was the best US defender.

China even held Greece to 11 points in the first quarter.
Greece was always held less than 20 in the first quater.

i just turned off of espn2 so i can't rewind and get the whole sequence, but he missed a 3, took an ill-advised early 2 on another possession that bricked, got out in semi-transition and attempted a behind the back dribble at full speed (while slightly out of control) then got it stolen. that was all early in the game. then he came back in later and he had that travel, then fouled vspan on a 3, and then did something immediately after which i can't remember. he also kept getting beat (though that was something of a teamwide problem). he was the spark for a large portion of the greek run in the 2nd quarter. all i know is it seemed like every time i looked up for about a 10 minute stretch hinrich had done something else horrible. the travel just being amazing. maybe i'm overstating it but i swear i started to count and was either up to 6 or 7 things that he had done to piss me off in such a short time.

Actually he did pretty good keeping Yao out of the paint. But I agree Yao would figure out how to eat him alive as he has done to everyone else even the Big Aristotle.

Ok i do not understand do you mean either:
1 You are tired of hearing people calling you arrogant, just because you have a different culture.

    OR

2 We can call you arrogant you don't care, because you have a different culture.

But how can a person from a other country leave your country, since he is from a other country.

IMHO A lot of Americans are arrogant when it comes to basketbal, maybe it is culture, i do not care, in my opinion it is still arrogant.

I do not care if they think they are the best if they actually win. But Team USA have not won a lot in the last year. I do think that the USA have the most talented basketbal players in the world, and the best overal. However they do not have the best overal team in the world in an international tournament. Altough they are one of the best.

My point was maybe keeping Greece to such low scoring in the first quarter led to complacency by the US team.

    That was amazing. I'm speechless.

Larry Brown, now coach K, with that kind of roster, simply can't find an answer, unbelievable.

He is quick for his size, and pretty nifty under the basket. He can't match Yao for long in the game because of his height disadvantage. He will have a good NBA career if he keeps up though.

It seems Arenas was right. USA made a mistake cutting him from the team. USA didn't have that veteran to come in and take control of the game when the team was struggling. That was the real difference. I thought wade would be that guy but he just wasn't and Arenas might have been that veteran leader to do that.

I think its their style of play. They don't play much movement in offense and a zone defense will suck you right out if you don't move the ball around and pentrate.

I was lettin him know it isn't always an insult to be called arrogant. Some people call it arrogant, yet a lot of times it can also be called having confidence. Sometimes its good to be arrogant. I think NBA players have a reason to be arrogant. They are the most talented 1on1 players in the world. Maybe as a team they aren't so good, but individually they have reason to be arrogant.

I think it is the coach to a degree. Look what Rudy did with a bunch of reject non NBA players in 98. One missed shot from Gold. And then he won in Olympic Gold in 2000. The biggest problem is most of the other countries keep the National coach year after year and develop a system and a continuity. USA will never have this unless they keep the same coach and many of the same players for more than a couple of years. We have still have the most talented players overall but it's no longer a dream team.
