the fact greece is acting like they won the super bowl tells you what an upset it was.

but that's single elimination for you. 8/33 and 5/15 guys draining 3's from all over the court, mediocre offenses the whole tournament suddenly start tearing through USA's defense which was great the last two games and spectacular for 15 minutes tonight. while coach K should be embarrassed by his inability to adjust on the pnr, you can't game plan for a team suddenly playing out of their minds while kirk hinrich is singlehandedly destroying your team from the inside.

it hurts a lot to a team that is eminently beatable, especially one you were manhandling early on. an embarrassment. they will have no spirit for the bronze medal game and will lose to whoever shows up. i doubt i'll watch.

 

OMG, this is like a total shock for me and VSpan is the real deal...

cool to see Battier congradulate his future teammate and VSpan may be MVP of the tournament if they win the gold.....

What game were you watching, remember there's no hand-checking in the NBA. He doesn't need to score a lot on the Rockets team. He just needs to create shots and play tough D.

 

Panzer or not, they put the ball in the hole. That's the name of the game. V-span played really well against US allstar team squarely and fairly. Too bad your are not impressed. I am very happy about him at the price we pay for him.

that was the lone bright spot of this game. he is the most ridiculously explosive player who has ever played. he makes kobe, dwade, tmac, and jordan look small and unathletic. it was like he was still going up when he dunked it.


what a ****ty loss. if spanoulis doesn't hit at least 35% of his 3's on the rockets i will officially hate him for this game. just like i can't look at arroyo without hoping his achilles tendon accidentally blows out (or he gets hit by a bulldozer, to steal from someone else).

 

no one ever said they were the second coming and you never read anyone say it. at least not here.
